It is very consistent with the salt level readings (I double-checked with a chemical tester and the difference was less than 100ppm, which is fine to check salt levels for a pool with a salt chlorinator). So worth to do salt level measuring - takes a few seconds and reliable. As for pH, you have to calibrate it frequently (it comes with the powder to do the calibrations), but becomes a hassle to calibrate and you never know if it is calibrate it or not.
