One kit covered a regular size PVC/fiberglass tub, after I scrubbed off almost all the stains. I did about five cleanings. I started with a used clean kitchen sponge, a bucket of clean warm water and "Kaboom." I then scrubbed with a rough copper scrubber. This revealed a clean but "eggshell" coloured tub. I then followed ArmorPoxy's written instructions. After dumping out the first water, in a clean bucket, I mixed the little packet of cleaner. This is a little like THP. I sponged 3X and scrubbed with the stainless steel scrubber provided, which is a "fine" scrubber. One could also use fine sandpaper to rough up the surface. Finally, I used a soy-based paint thinner to prep the surface. On a dry surface, I applied two coats with the brush provided and one other new brush. The brushes cannot be reused. The paint will keep overnight after mixing at 70°F or so but after that it hardens in the can and must be disposed of. I was able to put two coats on the tub and the sink and patch some moulding with what was left. The disposed of portion was maybe 1/4 can. I could have used that on cracked moulding as repair paint/spackle had I worked faster. I would not buy this kit again because the paint epoxy itself is worth about $30 and Rustoleum makes a product that is similar. You get tools you either do not need or have already, so it is not IMHO worth $70 for a brush, a cheap spray outfit and a kitchen scrubber.I reviewed paint and commented that I am sensitive to smells and the purple paint did not bother me (working with window and all doors open). This paint does stink. It is a very strong turpentine smell and I found that a fan helps but it was difficult to use the adjacent room for the first hour after painting. After an hour, smell is about half as bad, then after four hours it should be tacky. After 8 hours it was dry enough to apply a second coat. I would not try to use the tub or sink for at least four days regardless of what the instructions say, based on experience with the previous bath remodel...water will weaken the seal.I will take photos of the finished bath at this point it is still worth this type of application for a brand new hotel looking bath. I will buy Rustoleum's $30 to do the shower stall, which is also a cleanish beige/eggshell now does not match the rest of the white fixtures. The ceiling is also white, the walls dark purple.My original "decor" was probably assembled in a factory, was orange wallpaper and foil bath surround with eggshell/beige fixtures. There's a lot one can do to improve this scenario with products available here. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Economical upgrade. *by C***K on Reviewed in the United States on October 17, 2013* For less than $100 I was able to update my 1960's Bath. Would recommend that you brush the stuff on. They include a sprayer unit, but the nozzle kept clogging up and the coverage was sparse. Also too much of it gets into the air when sprayed. Make sure you have a decent mask and keep the room well ventilated. Pleased with the final result if I don't look too, too close.
