## Description

Our new gecko diet formula with the delicious taste of Organic Fig and insects. This Banana lacking formula has a strong Fig smell and flavor to entice your picky geckos to really chow down. The absence of bananas is perfect for geckos that don't seem to really like banana flavor foods. By using other base fruits we were able to incorporate fig into the diet while still maintaining low levels of Oxalic acid. We have incorporated bugs as the main source of protein.

Review: My crestie likes this flavour and I like that Pangea offers a variety. It's a well trusted brand for a complete gecko diet. Price is jacked up, but where I live it's hard to access pet stores which carry Pangea so often with shipping it ends up costing just as much as ordering from desertcart and getting next day delivery. I do recommend supporting small reptile shops if possible, though. Otherwise great product and arrived so fast.

**Q: What are the Black/White Parts in the diet?**
A: The white chunks are typically potassium sorbate and small pieces of coconut flakes that can't be sifted out during the production process. These are a natural part of the diet. The black parts are insect parts that are an important part of the diet.

**Q: What is the right feeding schedule?**
A: Under normal circumstances your gecko will only need 3 to 5 feedings per week. Occasional feeding with live insects is recommended by not required with this diet.

**Q: How much should I offer my gecko per feeding?**
A: It depends on the age of your gecko. Most Juveniles should receive about 1/16th of an ounce or a dime size portion. Subadults should receive 1/8th of an ounce or a nickel sized portion. An adult should receive a quarter to about a half ounce portion.

**Q: Why shouldn't I freeze the diet to help it last longer?**
A: The ice crystals that form during the freezing process can potentially damage the cell walls of the plant ingredient contents and reduce the overall nutritional value of the diet.

**Q: Why does the unrefrigerated prepared feed expire after a day?**
A: The prepared feed can be compared to a fruit smoothie. A fruit smoothie sitting in a humid tropical environment like a gecko terrarium will not last as long as it would while refrigerated.

I'm a small breeder and have quite a few cresties to feed. This is consistently, by far, the most popular flavor of diet that they prefer. Best for pickiest eaters! I trust Pangea as a high-quality brand to get the nutrition correctly balanced. This is easy to mix and can be stored easily. I make a fresh batch every time I feed, though.
