Review: Impressed with device, software lacking somewhat for 2020 - I'm very impressed with the device, it looks and feels to be good quality and is of good accuracy when taking readings. It comes with a two-tier zip case, USB cable for connecting to a laptop or PC, instruction manual, quick start guide and a spare mouthpiece. If you've used a PEF device before you will know how it works - the result is instant on the screen and shows firstly the PEF then after a few seconds the FEV1. You can record the results on your computer by either downloading the software from the Microlife website (easiest way) or using the disk that comes with the device. The setting up of the software is a bit fiddly, but once you play with it for 10 mins and get a hang of the dated interface it's fine. It DOES need an update, it's 2020 and the software is initially compatible with Windows 8... I can, however, confirm that it works on Windows 10 if anything a little laggy. You can add multiple users to the device and to the software so both you and your partner/family can use the device. They could increase the sales by updating the software and creating compatibility with macOS too, the device itself is fine. In summary, I'd recommend it - just be ready to have patience setting up the software.
Review: Mostly very useful - I'd give 5 stars if it connected to my PC more easily. I downloaded the app, created a profile, did some readings, connected the cable and nada. Equally, no Bluetooth functionality? I had the app on my Andriod phone. That would be a big plus. That said, it's otherwise a really useful lung function device that I'll keep using on a regular basis.

**Q: What's the lowest reading unit records? i have copd. on a manual pf meter i blow 180 to 240. this thing won't record anything for me.**
A: The lowest reading I have blown on this is 240. I have never had a situation where it didn't record for me.

**Q: Can you use this without having a computer**
A: Yes. I have severe Asthma and have to keep a record for my hospital. When i use it i do three blows. It show on the display when to blow into the device.  After the third blow it will the highest blow you have performed.  Then just turn it off.  You don't have  to set it up on a computer. I just record my readings in a diary for the hospital. **Q: Can you please tell me if this comes with the software to read the USB output**
A: Yes. The disc is in the box not the zipped case. I still use XP and it runs without problems. OS up to 8 are listed. No idea if it runs on 10.

**Q: Is it possible to use with disposable mouthpieces so that it could be used on a great variety of people? If so which mouthpieces will fit it?**
A: Sorry, I know you can use interchangeable mouthpieces, but I do not know about disposable.  Perhaps you could contact the manufacturers.

This is brilliantly reliable and very easy to operate. Not only that, it is easy to clean after each use (comes with a spare mouth piece - so two people can use it). The results can be easily uploaded to Microsoft Health Vault (using the connection centre) which enables you to track your peak flow.
