    special tool not provided, failed

*by D***S on Reviewed in the United States on December 30, 2018*

Updated review - they won't hold the weight they were rated at, at least after the second or third time. After getting a special toll that they didn't include and securing they according to instructions, they failed. I researched the weight of my tools and didn't even have it loaded yet. The drill press is 30 - 50 lb and the bench at that end might be 30 - 40. It should hold 200 between the 2.First review - Two points that seem to be draw backs. First and most important is that you need to hold the inside nut with an open end wrench to tighten the wheel down. It would not be a problem if it wasn't a thinner tool than a standard open end wrench (when you tighten the nut, it traps your open end wrench so you can't get it out) . I went to your large hardware center to maybe get one and they didn't have them. On line order didn't have a single wrench to buy, you had to buy the whole set that was running $25. They should provide this special wrench. If you don't tighten this nut down, the wheel might work but it would be sloppy and prone to brake or bend the bracket like I see others that reported that happening. The second issue that would be nice but you might have to resolve on your own. If you push down on one wheel at a time, your bench might tweak if it's not very solid. You might place a board across 2 at a time and step on the board to raise one whole side at a time.

    DOES NOT SUPPORT 400 LBS

*by L***E on Reviewed in the United States on February 18, 2019*

I spend a couple weeks welding a custom workbench with 1-3/4 maple top and heavy square tubing with the plan of using these feet. I carefully measured the hole pattern and made a drill guide on a milling machine. I drilled and tapped the legs for 10-32 screws to hold these casters. After the workbench was done and these casters bent too much to lift it, I went back through and added up all the weights of everything that was included in the build. It weighed about 250 lbs with no tools. I added less than 150 lbs of tools. This is extremely disappointing because of the unique hole pattern for these feet vs other lift casters that may hold their rated weight. Now I have to redrill/tap either the table legs or the new casters and attempt this again.Note: I added a washer indicated in the picture which appears to have increased its holding ability by distributing some of the weight closer to the pivot.I would estimate that these would hold half of their rating reliably (210lbs). These are clearly made of soft, Chinese steel. Perhaps you could weld flat stock to the bottom of the arm that bent in the pictures to get closer to the weight rating.

The bracket can't handle the advertised 110 pound load rating.

*by K***R on Reviewed in the United States on January 23, 2019*

The casters are OK, and the stepdown lift mechanism works fine. The problem is that the plate which the caster mounts to bends at less than the advertised 110 pound (440 pounds / 4) load rating. I installed one of these in a tripod arrangement with two existing wheels. The measured load at the caster is 75 pounds. The caster mounting plate bent, so the caster spindle is no longer perpendicular to the floor, and is unable to provide the required lift.I modified the installation to reinforce the caster mounting plate, and used two of the casters instead of one. This works, and is better than hassling with return shipping charges and trying to find something better. I would rate these at no more than 50 pounds each, based on the mounting bracket limitation.
