Works great in a two-way application, but tough to fit in the box
For my use, in a 2-way (single switch) circuit I have to give this 5 stars, with just one caveat. The instructions were clearer than on another brand, using typical terminology rather than obscure letter codes. It connected very easily to my thread network and operation is perfect so far. The caveat is the size of the box behind the switch. Electricians commonly run extra wires through wall boxes to give then a place to make junctions. They could use separate boxes, but that would be more expensive and less accessible. In real life these boxes get crowded. I had to spend quite a while rearranging and bending wires before this device would go all the way into the box. It was only possible because it was a double box and the other switch is a more compact old-style switch. Two of these would not work. I know that a good relay takes space, but surely there is a smaller option. The thread radio and other logic parts take hardly any space.

Does not work in three-way configuration
I held off installing smart switches in my home for *years* until a Matter-over-Thread + three-way-compatible switch was available. Finally this became available and I was excited to try it. I bought 16 of these to replace most of the light switches in my home (many of which are three-way). When it came time to install, I spent countless hours troubleshooting, rewiring, swapping for other switches, re-reading the documentation, and trying to find out what I was doing wrong, when I came to the conclusion that many other reviewers here have: this switch works fine in a two-way configuration, unfortunately it doesn't work as a three-way switch. For context, in my home I have a pair of Eero Pro 6 (thread-compatible) routers and a latest-gen Apple TV as my Homekit hub. I installed 10 of these Eve switches so far. I tried replacing 6 of my three-way switches with Eve switches and only 1 worked correctly. The 1 that worked was a very short run (I'd guess 10-15 feet of traveler wires). I measured voltages on the traveler wires and found what someone else here wrote, voltages vary wildly and it seems that causes some problem with Eve's ability to do load sensing (either on the line side or the load side). As in, the switch *functions* to turn lights on and off, but the switch doesn't know when it is on, so automation doesn't work. I'm really frustrated, I've wasted months trying to get this working and I resorted to simply converting many of my three-way switches into regular two-way switches (installing a blank face place on one side). I'm reporting Eve to the FTC and BBB for false advertising, they absolutely need to stop saying these work as three-way switches because they actually don't.

Easy installation, works excellent
It’s been absolutely flawless , any who have ran a smart home knows the struggles for many devices , while yes this is just a light switch has never had any connection issues or lost contact with home hubs , little over a year of use and simply works turning any old light circuit into a smart circuit ,

Good product overall but experienced failure with one
I have owned several Eve products over the past six years and this is the first failure I’ve experienced. I purchased five of these last month and one failed in the first 30 days. The failure was that the light refused to turn off so my kitchen light was on 24/7. I tried all of the troubleshooting steps that the manufacturer provided on their website without success. Eve’s customer support via email is unacceptable when you are using this product in a critical part of your house. I understand it’s just a light, but it’s terribly frustrating when it’s a semi permanent install like replacing a light switch instead of just a plug-in play IOT device. Thankfully Amazon has great customer service and they took care of the issue with a replacement in less than 24 hours. I would not recommend buying Eve products directly from the manufacturer as they do not have the level of customer support needed to address immediate warranty claims. Without this issue, I would’ve given five stars. One additional consideration is that if you have an older home, the new 3rd generation matter models are quite large in the electrical box. While mine do not sit flush, so be aware of this before you start installation.

Works Perfectly in my 3-Way Application
I'm happy to see more Matter compatible products becoming available. My smart home system is predominately Apple Home with some Home Assistant and using an Apple HomePod mini as border router. This switch works perfectly in a 3-Way circuit and you don't have to replace both switches like with some brands. I have a mix of several manufacturers with Matter and non-Matter with no problems. It just works!

Great Product when they are connected to my Apple HomeKit system
I have been replacing Wemo smart plugs with EVE Home smart plugs as the Wemo units start to show connectivity issues. They have been very stable once they have been added to the Apple HomeKit system However if you have just updated to IOS 26.4 I hope that you have more success than I did adding these item to Apple HomeKit I was fortunately able to get them added as my wife was still running IOS 26.3.x I will update this review should I get anything worthwhile from EVE Home support team, to overcome this problem

Defective
Broken out of the box. Install was ok, but if you have a lot of wires in your outlet box it's a hassle to fit it all in. Set it up and it was fine, automations with the Google home were also not terribly difficult. But the physical button never turned off. All troubleshooting was a failure. Contact with Eve customer support was useless. Going to return and try again.

As soon as I heard that this switch supported Thread and that it could be used in 3-way configurations (without having to replace both switches), I bought this switch. I first tried replacing the switch at the load end connected to the light. The switch worked fine locally as a dumb switch, but in the app I had to toggle the switch multiple times before it would change state. Similarly, when I replaced the switch at the other end of he 3-way circuit, I had the exact same behaviour. If the light was off and the status was also off in the app, when I pressed the toggle in HomeKit, the light turned on. When I toggled the switch OFF in the app, the light stayed on but the switch in the app turned to OFF. When I preseds the toggle in the app to ON, the lights turned OFF but the status in the Home app was ON. I contacted Eve Support, but they didn't provide any useful information or troubleshooting tips and weren't able to resolve the issue. They simply gave me a link to the online manual. Very disappointed. I'll be returning this switch.

Great light switch. Hook up is a breeze as long as you have the neutral wire. Works flawlessly and easy to hook up to your wifi HomeKit. I had bought one a while back and like the security of being with the HomeKit App, easy hook up and operation. Had to order a cple more. Would of given 5 stars but the price i find is a little on the top end but again you get what you pay for. Love the Eve Products!

These light switches are great in single pole setup. Can be finicky in 3 way. I have used Leviton/Eve and Lutron Caseta Diva switches, and Lutron is far more solid and easier to use. I also have an Eve camera in my driveway, and its connection can be spotty at best.

Go with the Leviton smart switches. These are baller but they break after a few months of use. I have around 15 in my home and maybe have had to replace 7 so far. Slowly transitioning to Leviton smart switches....

Overall good product but once in a while it will fail to connect. I had to clear it and reconnect it to work again the first time. Lately it will come back on again after a few hours usually
