Holly stone hs360s
So I debated for a while as to which drone to buy. I’m new to all of this and didn’t want to spend to much on a first drone. I kept getting drawn back to this hs360s and decided after a while to take the plunge! It arrived the next day after ordering it and I was keen to get started. I had read the set up was tricky but to be honest it was very straight forward and easy to follow. So far so good. The drone seems well built although I don’t have previous drones to compare it too. It also came with spare propellers which I didn’t expect. Then I tried to connect my iPhone 14 pro max. I thought it had connected and sent my drone up. No image on my phone! Yet the drone was flying well and very stable in a slight wind. The return home worked well but I was struggling with my phone. I tried my sons phone and it connected straight away hence the photo. After a few more test flights using my sons phone it was quite easy to get to grips with the drone and I have to say although the image is quite dark(it was late evening) the quality seems good. So back to my phone. Getting frustrated now as still no image. I contacted customer service and they were exceptionally quick to respond and tried everything for me but to no avail. Now this is where I feel a bit daft. I decided to look at my phones charger socket…it was full of dust and muck!!!! Once cleaned out hey presto connection straight away. By now though it was to dark to fly! Overall impressions a good little compact drone that seems well built. Image quality seems good and for the price I’m happy with what I have got. Also comes with a camera protector and a handy case. Looking forward to a bit more air time tomorrow. I will update the post if anything changes but for me this is a great drone for the price.

Superb starter drone
I absolujtely love this drone. I have had a few 'cheap' alternatives and while they were fun to play around with, I really wanted something a little more advanced. When Amazon had this on offer, it was too good an opportunity to pass up. In the box is a nice quality carry case that contains everything. The drone itself, the controller, battery, chargers, documentation and other cables. A nice surprise was a full set of replacement blades as well. All really neatly pakaged. On taking the drone out of the case it is clear it is a quality pieve of kit. It feels sturdy and well built. The prop arms fold out and lock in place with a satisfying clunk. Setting the drone up is simple. There is a short calibration sequence you need to complete which takes no more than a couple of minutes and is clearly documented, then you are good to go. Don;t forget to take off all the protective film covering the various sensors and camers. Then, simply download the Ophelia GO app, connect your mobile phone to the drone's WiFi hotspot, and you are good to fly. A quick press of the LOCK button to initialise the drone, then a tap of the 'auto take off' function on the control and the thing will hover perfectly stable at around 3-4 feet. Controlling it couldn't be simpler, especially if you have any model flying experience at all. The drone is very responsive while still feeling very forgiving of slightly more abrupt input. My first flight was in a steady breeze and it handled it very well indeed. The camera is fantastic, especially for a drone at this price. Yes, at around 500g with the battery you will need to do the CAA registration (£9) and sit a 40 question, open book multiple choice online test (which is very straightforward - you need 30 correct out of 40), but this is well worth it! If you have been considering this drone but, like me, were hesitating wondering how it would match up against more expensive rivals - give it a go. You will definitely be surprised!

Brilliant folding drone easy to fly quality camera. don't bother doing a review for free battery BS
When you get this drone you will be asked to submit a review which I did and they will send you a spare battery. Don't bother its BS and they will try to fob you of with the battery are out of stock and offer you a toy drone or if you can wait then they will send you a battery. Still waiting 6 months on despite sending emails to Holy Stone. The H720 is a very well built folding drone. Plus the Holy Stone H720 drone comes with a case saving me £40. Much better value for money. Drones I have had cannot be flown very high because a slight breeze will blow them off course, the H720 is heavier (well built) than my other drones I have had and do not suffer from this problem plus the GPS keeps it on track. You will need a drone license but very easy to do online only cost £9 for I think 3 years. Its very easy to start and once linked to the Ophelia app you can see the view from the camera and operates seamlessly. The one touch take off and land is awesome it hovers at about 4,5 foot then stays exactly where it is. I used the return home function and that surprised me, pressed the button in the garden and it took off into the air to 49 feet then came into land, I read the instruction (should of done that first) that is what it should do to avoid houses and trees returning home. The weather has not been that good to try out all the features but I have used it from full charge for about 15 minutes only went down 1 LED. 20 minutes plus battery life this is a big selling point and longer lasting brushless motors. The charger has 2 ports and charges two battery one at a time you can leave on over night and both are charged. The flight is great very responsive and a lot of fun to fly. Camera is adjustable up and down in flight and the 4k images is brilliant. I have used the follow me mode which works great and the point plotting is really nice. All in amazing value for money and would highly recommend. The Ophelia app very good it has your flight log and the camera setting to change from 2k to 4k imaging. Stores the links to both photos and videos that you can download. Love this drone so much fun

For the price, this drone is excellent. Pros -Easy to fly. -Stable. -Decent quality video. -Nice travel case. -Roughly 300-400' FPV of range using a Samsung tablet (pro tip, disable other wifi networks. If they are left on and it fly's out of range the tablet/phone will switch back to the houses wifi). -The GPS waypoints work great. Seem to be limited to 5. -Very responsive support. Had an issue with vegetation appearing red due to a missing filter in the camera. Fast and courteous support that quickly resolved the problem. -Very good value for the price. Cons are really things that require a more expensive drone. A much more expensive. -Motor kill switch has to be held for several seconds before stopping the blades. Seems like a lifetime while the drone beats itself to death. -Landings can be tricky, you either want to land on pavement, or if landing on grass you need to hold the kill button as it descends into the grass. Landing on large tables are tricky, I would recommend against trying. -Seems to be limited to 5 GPS way points. Always make sure the last point is close so you can get the drone back. You can set a path that goes out of range of the remote. The remote seems to be good out to between 300 and 400'. -The app is a bit awkward, but it is good enough for the price. Works really well using an android tablet. Would recommend a tablet with a music stand over a phone. -If you point the camera at the sky, the ground appears dark.

Wow! Let’s start with the disclaimer—I’ve never flown a drone but I do have fairly extensive experience flying RC aircraft (both fixed wing and helicopters). So maybe not a complete beginner/novice. However this drone is an absolute dream to fly. Highly stable and very forgiving. I love the features that make it so much more relaxing to operate. I do have a couple negatives that are nuisances mostly. First, connecting the drone to my phone via WiFi was not easy and seems to be very sequence dependent. The manual is not the best for accomplishing but I was finally able to get everything connected and working. Second, as I eluded above, the manual is rudimentary at best. They could do a much better job explaining the individual features of the drone like “Headless Mode” (something I’ll just have to figure out on my own). Failsafe mode definitions appear conflicting “FSM will be triggered if the transmitter signal is lost for more than 6 seconds.” But then in red below “If there is no GPS signal or the transmitter signal has lost for more than 6 seconds the drone will not return-to-Home....”. I think they meant to say “and” because “or” conflicts with the whole purpose of the FSM. The only other slight disappointment is the camera tilt is manual so once it’s set your stuck looking at that angle until you land and can change it. However, the picture and video quality are outstanding. Last bit of advice...Take some time to learn to fly it. Use a build up approach to familiarize yourself and you will find your skills grow and the fun increase with each flight. All in all, this is a very well designed drone and exception for the price.

This is my second drone, my first being a Mavic Mini 2 and think that it is much easier to use, set up and fly. I wanted a second one to travel with and this Holy Stone seemed check all the boxes that the Mavic Mini did with a couple of added features that I was excited about like the follow me and way point flying. On top of those two advantages, it was a fraction of the price and I could get two of these for the price of the Mini so I was way more comfortable to take it on the plane with me. First flight was a real learning curve because of the large differences between what I have gotten used to and this Holy Stone. It was not quite as easy to fly straight out of the box as the Mini, but with some time it proves to be a very responsive and amazing drone (definitely recommend starting in a much more open area than my yard and a much calmer day, I have way too many trees and winds were gusty up to 20 mph keeping me from flying too hi. First time I went above the trees, the drone started to drift away and took a bit to fly back, live and learn). It also proved its durability when it bounced off the side of my house while I was playing with the headless setting. Slight scratch, but fired right back up and flew with out any issues at all (I do not at all recommend testing this, just use me as an example that it is not always the end of the world when crash landing at low altitudes). Overall, I am very satisfied with this drone and cannot wait to get some amazing footage on my vacations with this. I would not be able to comfortably say it is great for beginners or easy to use sine I started with the Mini2, but at the price, it is a great one to try if interested. The remote is so much more satisfying than the Mini comes with though due to its size and dedicated status screen and I love the ability to control the drone with just my phone giving me the ability to hit the road for a day shoot with just the drone, extra battery and my phone. That alone makes this my go to for a minimalistic choice for some rides. Way to go Holy Stone.

While this isn't my 1st drone (I own 3 others) it is my 1st "non-toy grade" one. As there are literally hundreds of drones to choose from these days, I did a LOT of research before purchasing. I watched endless YouTube videos, read through dozens of drone forums and read many drone/tech site + Amazon owner reviews. I chose the HS510 because it seemed to offer a great mix of features, performance and positive owner feedback at a reasonable price. After receiving it, familiarizing myself with it's operation and flying it numerous times, I'm happy to report it delivers everything I'd hoped for and more. The amount of tech packed into this drone is impressive given it's price. Every feature I've tried out so far - GPS position hold, return-to-home, optical flow sensor and auto take off/landing - work as advertised. The camera takes pretty good pictures (see attached) and video when saved to an onboard microSD card - I haven't tried saving pics or video directly to my phone and will likely just skip that. The fact that the drone is foldable, came with (2) batteries and a nice little carrying case to store & transport everything was just icing on the cake. I was so impressed with the HS510 that I ended up ordering Holy Stones newest drone (the HS720E) to try doing a little higher-end aerial photography/videography. (EDIT: My only complaint regarding the HS510 is that it doesnt come in black, which makes it easier (for me at least) to spot when the drone is at a higher altitude. Since this is more of a personal preference than anything I didn't factor it into my rating.)

Ok, so first off, I would like to send a special thank you to Holystone! They have the best Tech support bar non! This drone is easy to fly so long as you know what to do before you even try to fly it. Calibrate, calibrate, calibrate!!! Yes, you have to calibrate the gyroscope before you even think about sending it up in the air! Also check the screws on the props before you send it up in the air! Also, once you get great at flying it you might want to put some loctite on the prop screws but not needed as long as you check the screws on a regular basis. This drone is FAST! so fly it with caution in an open area until you get used to how it handles! Drones DO NOT have breaks so slow down when you get near anything and you will be just fine! Remember that this a sport drone first with some powerful motors on it and a photo/video drone second. The GPS works great as does the return home function as long as you set up the return home height correctly in settings!!! I bought the drone mainly for taking some pictures of the area that I live in Colombia South America which I have posted some with this review for you to enjoy. I do Highly recommend this drone and Holystone as a manufacture to buy from as their support is what will keep me coming back for future drone purchases! 4/23/2023 Update! So according to Doris over at Holy Stone the Holy Stone HS510 Drone has been discontinued so you can no longer get the drone or parts for it. :-( Not sure why they decided to discontinue producing such a great drone, but they did. As far as new Blades are concerned you are going to have to buy MJX B7 Bugs 7 Quadcopter Blades and do some plastic pin popouts to just swap the Blades and not the entire propellers.
