This is a fantastic flashlight! Nice, BRIGHT white light. It's not that strange dim white that comes from the focusable LED lights. This is full-on comparable to the expensive name brand. The light isn't as heavy as the name brand, and probably couldn't withstand the same abuse. You have an on-off switch. You don't have to push it 2-3 times to go through flashing and dim before you get the bright setting. You only ever want the bright setting anyway. I have a 3-C rechargeable Maglite, and this is just as bright and white. I've had the name brand for about 10 years, I don't know that this will be as durable. But I got THREE of these lights for about HALF the cost of one Maglite... Maglite is probably the best, but I don't feel this flashlight is a compromise. I'm delighted with this purchase. And getting three of them? I only wanted it for my Jeep. Now I have one for my little roller skate (Fiat 500) AND one for the house as well.

Gives a bright clear light

This flashlight is not on the same level as Maglite. But it's real close and at fifth of the cost! My daughter is moving into her first home in a few days so I've been putting together a sort of emergency kit for her. My first thought for a flashlight was a Maglite 3D until I checked the cost. I soon realized that wasn't going to happen. I saw these Hilngav lights and after checking the reviews I ordered two. Honestly, I didn't expect much out of a $10 flashlight, but boy was I pleasantly suprised. The only fault I found with these is that the batteries rattle a little when installed. I fixed that by placing a small piece of foam tape on each battery. It's solid as a rock now. The light can't be adjusted for focus, but that's okay. It lights up the wood line in my back yard just fine at about 150'. Much brighter than the higher priced lights I currently have. All in all, this is a great deal I can recommend to everyone!

I wanted a four D cell flashlight but the cost of one is more than what I wanted to spend, so I settled on this flashlight. One reviewer stated that the bulb was replaceable, this is incorrect. The LED light is part of a module, if it fails, you will have to replace the whole flashlight. However, for the money, I still consider this flashlight an excellent value. Out in the deep woods it provides enough light to illuminate a wide area well ahead and enough heft to provide some defense. In the deep woods this is a good primary flashlight, but you will still want to carry a small one or two cell lithium flashlight for backup. Due to it's low cost, buy one to keep under the seat in every vehicle.

Good, inexpensive simple LED flashlight. Fixed Throw and Spill in a useful combination. No frills but easy to use. Medium weight. 11.75” long. Good to throw into a vehicle for emergencies, and forget. (Remove alkaline batteries annually to prevent corrosion from alkaline gasses.)

For the money you cannot beat this flashlight it is great and I put quality batteries in it. Stays outside on the front porch. Very bright. Two thumbs up

Simple and effective. They work really well with just 3V battery pack. Meaning if one uses the supposed 4.5V of the 3 cells, this will have a massive beam, really packs a punch. Quality wise, it's actually really good. Solid aluminium and a sturdy latching button. Front window is glass with a small protection rim so, be wary that hard falls can be damaging. My packs last over a month between charges as I only use these for dog walks.
