Live saver for slipped disc.
This has been a life saver. My husband's has a ruptured disc in his back. And this is giving him so much relief. Pop it in the freezer and then pop it into this belt…it covers a large area on your back. It’s very comfortable for moving around and sitting …. And you get 2 ice/heat packs. We haven’t heated them yet …. But even after icing he can get up and move around without half as much pain.

Comfortable only if the quality is as good.
It was a really comfortable once you worn onto my back (currently I'm suffered from back pain) but the gel was leaks and burnt to my skin.

A good overall back brace
A nice lightweight back brace. I've got similar more substantial ones that do a better job, but they are just braces. That this can take an icepack as well was the tipping point for me buying it. I've recently had spinal surgery (about a week ago) and as you can imagine, there's a lot of inflammation and heat coming from my lower back where the surgery was. I've still got the staples in, so can't wear anything too tight, but this is great for holding an ice pack in place whilst also providing some extra support for my spine. What an ice pack it is too. I've not seen one that big for a "belt" type system before. However, despite its size, it can still be folded up to fit into a corner of a freezer drawer or just be laid out flat on top of everything else. It's lightweight, stretchy, the velcro has a good strong grip and doesn't feel like it's about to let go or slip, and the second set of straps lets me control how tightly the ice pack is pulled into my back (not their original purpose, but they have that effect). For me, it is worth every penny.

Disappointing
I have some issues with lower back pain and find the stick on heat pads very effective but wanted something more cost effective that doesn't leave that sticky residue on your skin. I also wanted something more convenient to just "wear and go". That's when I found the comfytemp wearable pack x2. After reading the instructions, I only required the heat option (not ice) and heated the pack as per instructions and started to wear it at work. I initially thought I'd found exactly what I was looking for as it was so easy to adjust the strap and wear with your normal clothes, it's super comfortable, I could feel the heat working and the pain reducing. However, after a few days of wearing it I noticed the heat doesn't last long at all. I'd say a max of 30 minutes. This was very disappointing as I work in a very busy environment for 8-10 hours a day and don't have the time to be microwaving the heat pack evey 30 minutes! I then had no choice but to return the item and look for something similar that lasts longer. Such a shame as the concept seemed great, but actual usage not effective at all.

Great wraparound belt for a soothing effect.
A fantastic wraparound device that has two inner gel packs that can be either warmed-up or cooled in the freezer before being added to the outer "skin". I left the belt on for 30 minutes at a time and it worked a treat. I'm very glad I bought this.

Quick effective relief from back pain
Arrived super quick. Belt Velcro is really strong which allows for a snug fit. The pouch didn’t heat up evenly in the microwave and did lose temp after 10-15 mins, but you’re not supposed to apply heat/ice for too long at a time anyway. It did heat up really quickly though so wasn’t a big deal to put in the microwave again. I personally found the underside of the belt (which is in contact with your skin) to irritate as the Velcro to hold the pouch has sharp corners (others wouldn’t find this a problem I’m sure). Strong VOC smell when you first open so might need to air for a bit first (I can still smell this a bit after 48hrs but it’s not stopping me from using it). I have wondered if a hot water bottle would have been just as effective especially if I was sat down anyway.

This wrap has been a game changer for my lower back pain. It's very convenient how the packs are swappable so I can always have one ready to go. I usually wear it on the drive to the office and then when I get home, the second pack is ready to go. They last for more than a half hour and seem well made. The size is great for me as well (I wear size 34 pants) and could probably fit someone who is quite a bit larger. I have two minor gripes, which aren't enough to deduct a star. The first thing is that the mesh pocket that holds the cold pack is held together by a velcro strip right in the middle. If you wear it with direct skin contact, it can be itchy and scratchy. It's a non issue if you use it over a shirt. The second problem is that after a couple weeks of use, the main velcro that keeps it on has already lost its strength so the wrap keeps falling off. I have found that if I really mash the two pieces together and try not to move around too much with it on, it does ok. I suppose with some sewing and some industrial velcro strips, I can solve this myself in the future.

The Velcro isn’t of the best quality, but I found that if you just squeeze the ends together hard when you put it on, it does work better. That was my only issue with it. I had back surgery (L5-S1) recently and ice has been very needed and this is the perfect avenue to get it where I need. It fits pretty well under my clothes at work too! I got 3 different ones of these for variety, extras, and so I would have some at work, and they’re all pretty great. I would have to say this one is the most functional as it just stays where it needs to be and nothing more. But I do wish the ice packs were bigger on this one. But it’s not much of an issue. I also got the one that’s the large ice pack with the velcro straps attached to it directly. I love it, but unless it’s under clothes that hold it down, the top and bottom kind of roll out or get moved when I sit in my office chair. The last one I got which I want to love the most but can’t quite is the large one with the brace. The reason I can’t love it the most is when you pull it tight with the brace, the lack of good velcro on the ends make it easy for it to come apart, especially when sitting down and standing up frequently for work. Also, the corners of the velcro for the brace part are SHARP and have sliced open my palm, the back of my hand, and my arms. They 100% need to be under thicker clothing or else they’re dangerous. That being said, I do use that one the most at work because it keeps the ice pack exactly where I need it all of the time. Take what you will from this, but there’s no comparison to trying to make an ice pack stay on you any other way when you’re trying to move around. The ice packs themselves are amazing too. If you use them by themselves when you’re laying down, they’re perfect.
