I am someone who is on the computer all day, so I look for comfort, accuracy, and ease of use for a mouse and this does all of what I need. Thanks to the ergonomic design, I am able to effortless use this mouse for 10+ hours a day. Switching from my older model MX Ergo was effortless and the upgrade to USB-C charging is very much appreciated. With the USB dongle and a Bluetooth connection you are able to effortlessly switch between devices. For anyone with multiple monitors I recommend giving the trackball a try, it allows you to move across large screen real estate with minimal movement. The customizable buttons are icing on the cake allowing for added function. Amazon's shipping method for this mouse is a joke. They sent it in its OEM packaging, risking damage and theft. If you find a retailer with better packaging standards, it's absolutely worth buying.

I've been using Logitech trackballs since their very first model in the 1990s. I've always preferred them, and although the M570 and Ergo M575 had switch failures back in the early 2020s, I was encouraged by recent reviews saying the quality had returned. I bought the MX Ergo S in February and immediately loved the comfort and control — it was a clear upgrade from my MX Master 3 Advanced Wireless mouse; my wrist is no longer cramping, and my desktop is no longer too small. Recently, I upgraded to a Lenovo ThinkPad P16 and paired the MX Ergo S over Bluetooth. Most of the time it works well, but every so often the cursor freezes until I click a button. I assumed this was a Windows Bluetooth quirk, so I tried switching to the included Logitech Bolt USB receiver. That's where things fell apart. The receiver wasn't recognized in my USB hub or my Thunderbolt dock (not surprising), but even when plugged directly into the laptop's USB‑A port, Windows detected it — yet the trackball would not pair. After reading Logitech's support documentation, I discovered that the Bolt receiver works best only when plugged directly into a USB‑A 2.0 port on the motherboard, which modern laptops no longer include. In other words, Logitech's own specifications effectively make the Bolt receiver incompatible with most modern laptops and office configurations. The MX Ergo S itself is outstanding — easily a 5‑star device on ergonomics and usability — but I'm removing one star because the connectivity options simply aren't reliable on modern hardware. Logitech either needs to produce a modern USB‑C Bolt receiver or significantly improve the MX Ergo S's Bluetooth reliability to match the experience I had with the MX Master 3 Advanced Wireless mouse.

Best trackball mouse I've ever used. I especially like the ability to switch between multiple PCs conveniently. I used to get carpel tunnel really bad when using a traditional mouse. Since switching to the Logitech MX Ergo S, no more sore wrists! Cleaning the internal contact points is super easy and restores smooth operation in seconds. Button clicks have a premium feel with low noise and relatively short travel. The metal baseplate ensures it stays put and grips the desktop surface so you can enjoy hours of use without it sliding all over the place. Highly recommend and will buy again if this thing ever wears out.

Bought this to replace one of the older models of the same trackball I misplaced. I was initially sad to see the price increased on this model from the one I purchased a few years ago, but I can tell the quality has improved so I'm happy with the cost knowing now quality improvements were made. In my experience, this specific trackball is durable and my last one lasted me over 2 years with heavy use; it stills works, was just misplaced. Overall, I love this mouse. The tilt on it is so nice for my hand and my wrists. I work in IT but also do digital artwork and graphic design as a secondary job so I'm constantly using my wrists with typing, using a mouse, and drawing. I take extra care of my wrists as I've had symptoms of carpal-tunnel flare up over the years and this mouse has been very helpful in ensuring I'm not hurting my wrists. I noticed my hand would start cramping with my regular, non-trackball mouse and my wrists would start to get sore. I'm not sure how I feel about the material yet as it seems to have this type layer with silicone feel. This silicone layer/coating does attract dust (you can see my product photos after only 1 day's use where dust is building up on the bottom). In my experience, these coatings wear over time, revealing shiny plastic underneath but I want to give this mouse a fair chance before assuming it's going to have issues with the coating. Did not come with a USB-C cable for charging but I'm OK with that if it means keeping costs down and I have tons of spare USB-C cables anyway. My only gripe is I wish they would include a slot or hidden compartment like some of their other mouses to place the wireless USB dongle so it doesn't get lost when not connected to a computer and not being used. I'll update this review if I find anything worth noting.

The shape fits nicely in my hand and provides good support. The trackball performs smoothly, allowing precise control without moving your entire arm. I was very excited about this product after I set it up and started using it. It worked OK for the first few days, doing everything it was supposed to do the way I set it up. Then problems started. I initially installed it and used it on Windows 10. The initial issue was that it randomly reversed to factory setting, instead of my preference, so I figure it was a fluke that I can fix in the Logi software. However, when I tried to open the up it would freeze on me, becoming totally unresponsive. I deleted the software and reinstalled it, I reset my preferences, and the mouse worked again. For another day. Then the same issue returned, but this time, even after I uninstalled and re-installed the Logi app it would still be frozen. I got frustrated and I put it in drawer, next step being to return it. When I was ready to return it, I was over my initial frustration, so I figured I'd give it another try. This time, I installed it on a Windows 11 machine. Everything worked just fine for a while, long enough to get me out of the return window... About a week after that a new type of issue started... the scrolling speed randomnly gets down to a crawl, right in the middle of work. As you can imagine, when this happens during a Zoom presentation during an important meeting, this is not only frustrating, but also very embarrassing. Sometimes this resolves itself in seconds, other times it doesn't until I switch windows/applications and return. The Logi software hasn't been freezing on me on Win 11, but it doesn't help, because it just shows that the settings haven't change. I tried to re-set the settings, it works for a while, and the same issue comes back as ramdom as before. It's not depended on the applications I use, the time I use it, the bluetooth connection, or anything else I could think of, just completely random. At this point, I'm done with it, after wasting $120. Don't make the same mistake.

Construction solide. Je suis toujours aussi satisfait après plusieurs mois. La batterie tient sa charge longtemps et l'application qui lui est associée, offre beaucoup de possibilités. Après quelques jour d'adaptation avec une souris stationnaire, je n'ai pas du tout envie de revenir à une souris conventionnelle.

This is a great trackball. I consider it the best accessory for my computer that I have bought in the last 20 years. Excellent battery life, accurate sensor, minimal movement, multiple connected devices. I am very, very satisfied and highly recommend it to everyone!

Using this for very tiny intricate work on a MacBook, it works as promised for very tiny movements. Good job.

4 star instead of 5 for this reason: This mouse is very well build, and precise, but, it's not an MX level and cannot be qualify as an MX range (and the asking price is not justified too), because of this: it should have an inertial scroll wheel, and it don't, so be advise of that if you come from Logitech MX mouse (Logitech Anywhere mouse). It's a huge trade off. Editing/Coding, selecting text/letter, require a precision from your thumb muscle, that is just too difficult for me. Have 40 years of mouse muscle memory/precision, and for me, a mouse will always be better (even trackpad, due to stiction issue). Flick a ball, and reach a close "x" window, or selecting an icon, is one thing, but editing, is another thing. ymmv.
