Once I found the setting I liked, I fell in love. Super bright and a major attention getter! Nobody just drives around me ignoring why the light is on anymore. Because it represents the lights on modern cop cars, they know something serious is ahead and should slow down or stop. My only fault was the rubber booties on the magnets that prevent it from scratching the paint. One carwash later, the light came off under the dryer and a bootie was forever lost. I remove the remaining bootie, and it simply can't be move, let alone blow off. I would recommend removing the booties before use at it doesn't give the magnets the hold they were designed to offer. Excellent price, extra long cord. I highly recommend this light to anyone who plows or needs to be a warning beacon, night or day. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A very good upgrade from my old one *by A***N on Reviewed in the United States on June 1, 2018* Pros: Very bright; Memory functionCons: Magnets are iffy; Needs longer cordI only paid $5 more for this one than I paid for my old one exactly 3 years ago, so this is a good price-point comparison. I decided it was time to upgrade the old one - a couple of the LEDs were burned out, although with a total of 240 LEDs, that really hadn't affected the brightness. Actually, the brightness had always been one of my major complaints about the old one. But the acrylic lens has been getting more and more yellowed and scratched from being on top of my truck day in and day out, so it was time to retire it.This unit, however, has very impressive brightness, especially considering it's around the same price. My poor cell phone doesn't really do it justice. In bright sunlight, you can still see that this unit looks at least twice as bright when looking straight at it. That alone would make it worth buying again. But where it REALLY shines (yeah, pun intended) is looking at it from any angle BESIDES straight on. The old one only had a small fraction of its total LEDs that shine in any one direction, and the LEDs are very focused, so it ends up not appearing very bright at all. This new one, however, with its MUCH brighter LEDs that shine at a wider angle, looks at least 4 or 5 times as bright when looking at a 45 degree angle.One thing I will give the old one is that the magnets were VERY strong. I could even leave it on the truck when going through a carwash. The first time was by accident, but when it stayed on just fine that first time, I simply quit taking it off after that. This unit, on the other hand, takes me far less effort to pull it off the roof, so I don't think I want to risk leaving it on in the carwash.The other complaint - which is pretty much the same for any of them - is that the power cord is too short. Sure, I can plug it into an extension cord, but then I don't have easy access to the controls. The cord is long enough to comfortably reach the plug in the back seat, so I _can_ reach back to turn it on and off, but it's not convenient. For a full-size pickup truck, they really need to have a 15 foot cord instead of 10 feet.Both images are from about a 45 degree angle.
