Right out of the get-go. I'm giving this five stars because of the price for it and after pulling it out one time and using it for 30 seconds that paid for it. But it is also getting five stars because it is fairly well built, it is very sharp, and it is a very perfect size to keep in your house for anything you might need to randomly saw. The handle fits in the hand perfectly And a shaped ergonomically for safety and smooth operation. The blade isn't too thick or too thin for what it is and it is highly versatile. I even used it the other day to cut some wooden dowels and then cut through a piece of a cupboard drawer. This is quite the little tool for the price and quality and I highly recommend it

This is an awesome little saw and very happy with it. VERY sharp and well made. It cuts very easily and leaves a nice clean cut without tear out. Bought this on Amazon Haul and can't beat the price. This saw is small and lightweight. It is flexible and sharp. Those are the pros. You can tell these were built in high quantities and not much attention to details. It is cheap and functions so it's hard to complain. I like using it to cut small dowels and the kerf in tool handles.

This saw is a little on the small size. It is very sharp and really decent quality. I am building a camper van and I at the trimming out stage. This has been great for those tight cuts.

I'm not new to woodworking, so I've had my fair share of hand saws there on the low end of quality because I'm too cheap to pay for a high quality one. I ordered this saw expecting it to be like the others. A throw away after moderate use, this was not. I've used this saw to make small cuts in soft wood, Ive used it to trim hardwood, and recently my husband grabbed it to cut branches on the manzanita tree. And back to me for my projects. After the manzanita I thought it was a gonner. I'm happy to report it still works like th day I received it.

Worked wonderful on particle boards. Sharp thin blades meant for small cutting. Very easy to use. I haven't tested it on wood yet to know. Great price! Wished I had ordered sooner!

I'm in love with this saw! I've wanted to try a Japanese saw for a long time, and at this remarkably low price, I ordered one. This little saw can make good cuts in places where other saws could not. I've only had it for a couple of weeks, and it has proved indispensable on a siding project I'm doing. Cutting on the pull-stroke gives a delightful feeling of control. This is an excellent saw.

Rufus lied. I was looking for a flush cut saw with no set to the teeth. This saw will scratch the wood surface when flush cutting since the teeth are set to make a cut wider than the blade thickness. Saw is light, flexible, and sharp, so it is not useless, but it will not make a smooth flush cut.

I have been using this for my woodcarving hobby and it works very well. It cuts through wood with very little effort
