A: A two-prong cable has live and neutral wires; a three-prong adds ground. Current flows oppositely in live and neutral wires, canceling magnetic fields. Clamping both may show zero. For accuracy, clamp each wire separately

A: The NCV probe of the clamp meter is located at the protruding part of the clamp tip. Simply bring the clamp meter tip close to the object being detected when using the NCV function

A: The data hold function will last until you press "H" again to exit the data hold mode

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is a very powerful multimeter, but a bit fiddly to use

I received this item for free as part of the Amazon Vine programme, in return for a frank and honest review of the product. My review will be based on my personal experience of this product. TL/DR - Lots of different testing modes available, Non-contact test mode is very useful, Clamp meter readings are a bit fiddly This is a review of 'TESMEN TCM-300D Digital Clamp Meter 6000 Counts T-RMS ampmeter Auto-Ranging multimeter Voltmeter with AC/DC Current &Voltage NCV/Live Wire Inrush Resistance Diode Temperature Continuity – BLUE' and the comments only apply to this item. Item colour: Blue & Grey Does the product work/perform as advertised: Yes Is the product value for money: Yes Would I recommend this product: Yes First and foremost, if you are using a multimeter, you are dealing with electricity - so the most important thing that I can say right now is IF YOU ARE IN ANY DOUBTS ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE DOING, STOP IMMEDIATELY AND CONSULT A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN! - Electricity can kill or burn, and generally turn your day into a very bad one! This is a really powerful multimeter that can do what you expect a multimeter to do. However, the clamp test is really quite fiddly to try and get readings with. You have to get the cable in just the right position, a "sweet spot" where it will give you a reading. If you are not in that position, then the readings won't necessarily come. The non-contact test is very useful as you can use it to detect if a wire has power running through it. Whilst you can tell if a wire is live, it's still always advisable to either turn off the mains supply, flip a circuit breaker or pull a fuse prior to carrying out any work, but the non-contact test can be used to verify a switched off circuit is definitely off. While the clamp meter isn't the most reliable aspect of the meter, I would still recommend it for the fact that you can do everything else quite accurately with the multimeter, using the provided test leads and because of the non-contact test. Someone else, a more qualified electrician can hopefully confirm the accuracy of the clamp meter - which is something that I myself am not able to do.
