Review: Nothing fancy, but all you need! - This only has 1 button and only connects to an app via Bluetooth. Open the app, set the temp and done. You don’t need any other features in a sous vide machine. That’s the whole point of these things, set it and forget it. Verified steady accurate temps using my thermoworks probes. This thing works perfectly. Is the Bluetooth connection spotty some times? Yes. But all Bluetooth is! Soon as you loose connection it doesn’t like to reconnect but car stereos do the same thing. Close the app and reopen it and all is solved. But honestly never have I needed to open the app a second time after setting the temp. Pressing the top button stops the cook, but doesn’t resume it fyi. Either way, works great. Got it on sale for $20. Worth it 100%

Temperature fluctuation - since the internal thermometer is so slow, the temperature goes up and down a few degrees the entire time Inaccurate internal thermometer - when tested with 2 other digital thermometers, temperature was off by 4 degrees. - tested also another sous vide machine in the same water bath heating to 167F (Inkbird 200, which I recommend) and the Anova mini's app or thermometer was so delayed that it only showed 167 on the app a full minutes after it was hit and confirmed by the Inkbird. It was about 5 degrees behind the whole time heating up. Completely failed when doing low temperature test - it never stopped raising the temperature after hitting the desired temp. The timer just started counting down the moment the temp was hit Sound - quiet if never used another sous vide machine before but compared to others, quite loud. And higher pitched than comfortable. No physical buttons except pairing mode App only gets the time and temperature Bad customer service (emailed Anova with detailed explanation of problems and my troubleshooting and got 2 replies just telling me to try to reinstall the app and to try the app on another phone) I recommend Inkbird 200w if looking for a machine that has physical buttons, app that is useful, and super quiet and under $75 Thank you desertcart for great customer service (unlike Anova) and allowing a return

This only has 1 button and only connects to an app via Bluetooth. Open the app, set the temp and done. You don’t need any other features in a sous vide machine. That’s the whole point of these things, set it and forget it. Verified steady accurate temps using my thermoworks probes. This thing works perfectly. Is the Bluetooth connection spotty some times? Yes. But all Bluetooth is! Soon as you loose connection it doesn’t like to reconnect but car stereos do the same thing. Close the app and reopen it and all is solved. Connects easily to smartphone APP. Just plain works. Temps are spot-on & stable in a 12 qt tub. The APP is pretty basic for setting & monitoring (time, temp) & control, & has a large collection of recipes. Have used for various fish (haddock, salmon, tuna), for chicken thighs & breasts, & for ribeye, NY strip, tri-tip, & bison steak, Beef Bourguignon, pork chops, lamb chops, carrots, cabbage wedges so far - all turned out superb. re comments that the APP frequently disconnects, no big - the unit continues to operate at the set temperature, & to reconnect, merely close the APP & reopen it.
