Does this dry stiff? Want it to define ends of fine mid length hair. (Cant get Kadus moulding cream anywhere which was fab)

No, this does not dry stiff. I would imagine if you used too much, it might turn stiff, but I doubt it. I lightly smear it on my hands and rub all over the head. I just love this stuff as it just lightly controls the hair. Has a fabulous smell, too.

Is this a water based product?

I am not sure if it is water based, but it is water soluble.

How long before this product expires. I got a batch that was made in 2020

Once opened, 6 months, as after that it starts to harden.
