They are easier on the fingers. But, the only real solution is to play every day for a couple of weeks, play until your finger pads hurt, then stop until the next day. The tone is amazing, feels nice to play as well. Only problem is that it catches the humidity of India quite easily. 3 weeks in and I started noticing corrosion, 7 weeks in the high E string tore.
