Does the job
Makes changing out wheel studs a breeze. I’ve used it on our dodge journey and it works like a charm.

Worth every penny
Absolutely worth every penny. I hesitated due to the price but after reading the reviews decided to purchase it. I had damaged two studs trying to knock off a rusty rotor on my Subaru Forester. This tool made it super easy to install new studs. You don't need any special power tools, I simply used a long breaker bar and they slid right in. Well made and well designed.

UPDATE- It worked for all 24 wheels studs. Worked as intended for 12 studs so far
Read the one star reviews I decided to purchase two of this product. I read on another review where they used anti-sieze on the stud and tool. So I did that too. I was installing larger 1/2” studs in place of my OEM 7/16. I made SURE that the knurl was the same size for both studs. This is very important!!! Otherwise you will need to drill your flanges to the new larger size. So I got out my impact drill and went to town. I installed 12 new studs without any issues. Tool still looks functional. No new looseness or anything. Was it the anti-seize that help. Don’t know. I have 12 more studs to go for the rear axles, but I don’t foresee any problems. UPDATE 11/3/25- I finally got around to doing my rear axles and this tool handled all additional 12 wheel studs without issue. In this case I had to drill out the original wheel stud holes on the axles. I checked online for the proper sized drill bit. Then purchased a quality industrial grade bit. Trust me it was worth it. You get what you pay for and this bit was $60. It cut through the axle flanges like butter (use cutting oil!!) This stud install tool is still fully functional. I had zero issues while using this tool. I am still going to say using the anti-sieze what a good idea.

Great tool
I've bought it because no one in the shop besides the master tech had one. Use the right tool for the job .

Worked for 20 studs then the bearing came apart
This is by far the easiest way to install wheel studs. I replaced all 20 of the studs on my car and this tool worked perfectly. While taking it off of the last stud, the bearing fell apart and the crimp that holds the bearing together had opened up. Lisle does sell a replacement bearing for this tool for like $13, number 228200. I was using a M12 impact to install the studs, and electric impacts transfer their power differently than air ones, so maybe it would last longer with an air impact. I did install one stud using a wrench instead and it was easy, just slower.

I actually don't use this as a stud installer, I use it as a bearing for a home made forcing screw press. I basically have a long M18 Bolt/nut/washer and use various cups and random bits of metal from around the shop to force out things like bushings, wheel bearings, etc.
