This was a Christmas gift for my “big boy” — my husband — and he LOVED it! The DJI Neo Three-Battery Combo is an amazing little drone that delivers way more fun and quality than we expected. The drone feels very well made, easy to use even for beginners, and incredibly fun right out of the box. The 4K camera produces great footage for its size, and the self-flying features make it enjoyable without feeling complicated or intimidating. The three-battery combo is a HUGE plus — honestly, it’s super necessary. It lets you enjoy longer flying sessions without constantly stopping to recharge, which makes the experience so much better. For the price, this combo is an excellent deal. A very fun drone to use. Great for beginners and pros alike. I was amazed at the quality of photos and videos having such a small camera. The drone is very stable in flight. I was also impressed that it could record audio and cut out the prop noise! It may be a little off, so you have to correct that in post production. Works great by itself, with a cellphone, or with the controller.

Probably the least capable DJI drone, but its so impressive for its size, its hard to believe something so small can do 4K video, fly 35 Mph, fly in FPV mode and fly up to 10 kilometers away! Its way under 250 grams so you don't have to register it with the FAA. I already had the Avata 2 so I didn't need the controllers or goggles, so this was pretty cheap to add to my fleet. You could fly it without a controller by just using hand signals, it flies with your phone, the motion 3 controller, the RCN3 controller, the remote controller 3 and even the RC2 controller, and it also works with Googles 3. Its great for flying around the house while I wait for sprint in Minnesota, I can't wait to get it outside!

The DJI Neo Three-Battery Combo Mini Drone delivers clear 4K UHD footage and is very practical and easy to use. It performs well overall and is quite convenient with the extra batteries included. However, I feel the price is a bit high, and the build material feels somewhat average. Still, it’s a useful and enjoyable drone for everyday use.

me and the wife love these little drones for our travels. super small and useful. I just wish they had a better controller for the phone but oh well. its a great little drone

I’ve been using the DJI Neo (3-battery combo), and overall I’m really impressed with what it offers at this price. This is a solid 5-star product for what it’s designed to do, especially if you understand the trade-offs. I used it completely with my cellphone through the DJI Fly app, without a controller. It works well this way, but you need to keep in mind that the range is limited when flying with just a phone. If the drone goes out of range, there’s no Return-to-Home feature to bring it back automatically, so you have to be careful and stay within range at all times. Just to mention that I struggled to turn the drone power on in the beginning as the instructions were not clear. To turn on the drone power, press the on/off button once and then press and hold the same power button again, it will turn the power on. Another important point is that there’s no obstacle avoidance, so you really need to fly it carefully. It’s not a “set it and forget it” drone, you have to stay aware of your surroundings. Wind is another thing to watch out for. Even though it’s rated for level 4 wind resistance, I wouldn’t recommend flying it in strong winds. I tested it outside in the medium wind and noticed some drifting. I also did an extreme 40m/s wind resistance test (video attached), including using a strong air blower, and the drone struggling to hold position in higher wind conditions. That said, the video quality and stabilization are surprisingly good. It shoots 4K at 30fps, and the footage looks clean and stable for such a small drone. While using the phone as controller, I didn’t have many options for video profiles (it was set to normal), but I applied a vivid filter on my iPhone afterward and the results looked great. What really stands out is how easy and fun it is to use. The palm takeoff, subject tracking, and QuickShots features make it super beginner-friendly. You can literally launch it from your hand and start recording in seconds. For vloggers or anyone who wants quick, no-hassle shots without setting up a full drone system, this is a great option. You can also operate this drone through buttons on the drone, just select the quick shot mode and long press the same button to start the drone. From the specs side, it’s lightweight at just 135g, gave me around 15 minutes of flight time per battery, has up to 10 km range with a remote (never tried that) but much less with phone, 22GB onboard storage, easy to transfer videos through app, 1-axis gimbal with electronic stabilization, 4K video at 30fps, 12MP photos, and decent wind resistance for its size. Overall, for the price, you’re getting a lot of features with some expected limitations. If you’re a beginner or someone looking for a simple, portable selfie drone and do not want any drone registration, this is an excellent choice. Just fly it carefully, stay aware about the drone surroundings, avoid strong winds, and stay within range, and you’ll have a great experience.

It's a great drone for simple tasks or just for quick fun shots. It is very compact and you can even use it without a controller. Camera features, range and speed are going to be limited without a proper controller. Since it is very small and light, it is pretty hard to stabilize with windy weather. Also, it is definitely not going to perform good on low light or dark conditions. It only has 2 sensors on the bottom to scan the surface for landing purposes. If you try to force the limits of this drone I can guarantee you'd lose it by hitting a tree or falling a ditch somewhere. I think getting the fly more combo is a must because I got less than 10 minutes of flight time on each battery. Battery life varies by the conditions of wind and altitude you are flying. Lastly, I think video quality is pretty good for the size of a drone like this and DJI has pretty good app to quick view of what you shot.
