I am writing this review to share a little bit about this rolling knife sharpener that I received from Amazon Vine. Now, I have had my fair share of encounters with knife sharpeners, but this one takes the cake. This rolling knife sharpener has a diamond grinding disc on top, with its #400 grit size, that worked like a charm on my hard steel knives, since I had these knives slicing and dicing in just a couple of minutes. But wait, there is more to this sharpener than meets the eye, I flipped it over, and I found a ceramic honing disc at the bottom, boasting a #3000 grit size. Once I got those blades nice and sharp, I ran them over this ceramic beauty, giving the blades a smooth finish. Now, I am not one to delve into the technicalities, but this sharpener sure knows how to handle its business. The sequential setup of the diamond and ceramic discs makes it a breeze to go from sharp to smooth in no time. I have been around the block with knife sharpeners, and this one tick all the boxes, the transition from grinding to honing is seamless, this rolling knife sharpener gets the job done without issues. Happy sharpening, you all!

With a chainmail glove, this is an idiot proof method to sharpen a knife. The magnet fixes the knife angle (blade side up) and you run the metal side of the roller along it for 1 to 3 minutes. Then you take off the burr with the ceramic side. Then you switch knife directions and do the other side. There is a 15 degree side for your super sharp knives and a 20 degree side for your favorite chef's knife. One knife I have ships with a 16 degree angle, so if you care, buy one with more angles. If you don't know how to sharpen a knife, this is a great way to do it properly. Buy a chainmail glove. Running your hand near a face up knife 100 times seems like a hazard you should protect from. The manual is a pretty bad translation of fantasticly written Chinese. It tells you what to do, how, and why, even if the grammar is adorably poor. With weekly honings, and daily use, you should sharpen with this every month or so. This will last a lot longer than those v-groove sharpeners, and requires a lot less skill than a sharpening stone. Downside is, it is much more dangerous. Buy a glove and you'll be fine.

I chose this knife sharpener for my dad who is a cook. I know it is important to have sharp knives to fulfill his cutting task. This knife sharpener consists of two parts, including grinding discs and grinding angles. Both of these two parts are small and exquisite, which the main body parts are made of natural wood. This grinding discs are divided into diamond discs and ceramic discs, which are more durable and effective abrasive. The grinding angles includes 20 degrees and 15 degrees suitable for different needs, which has super-strong magnets. It is incredibly easy to use this sharpener. The strong magnets could keep my knife firmly attached to the base. All I need to do is choosing the suitable angle, rolling my diamond disc first, and following to roll my ceramic disc for a few minutes. In addition, the 20 degrees of the grinding angle is fit for daily cutting use, and the15 degrees of the angle is suitable for higher sharpness requirements or ultra-fine cutting. Overall, the result of this knife sharpener tool is immediate and impressive, and has been a good addition to my kitchen.

Very easy to use and works better than I expected. My kitchen knives became sharp quickly, and the angle guide makes it simple. Good quality and worth the money.

Bought this sharpener to try out after watching reviews. Have previously used whetstones, Lansky systems, a Chef's Choice electric sharpener, and others. Was curious how it would stack up. The product is pretty much fool-proof, and is much easier to use compared to learning with whetstones, mostly because the angled block holds your angle for you. The abrasive wheel does not take much material off with each pass, so no real danger of overuse and damaging the blade. It was not easy to create a burr, and I would recommend just rolling in 60 second increments on both sides and checking. The honing side is ok and does its job. This will not outperform a whetstone, those are used by professionals for a reason. This product would not get a knife sharp enough to shave, but it did have the knife going through pork belly like butter. I would also say that a good electric sharpener would be better for most given they are equally easy but quicker, but they also cost more and take up more room. This is ideal for people who want to sharpen knives but don't want to spend hours practicing on a whetstone. This is small and easy to store, doesn't require electricity so it can be used anywhere. Also, I love that this is a quarter of the price of the name-brand Tumbler. I recommend for anyone other than a professional cook.
