I am very pleased with this Matane light. It was pretty easy to install. I really like the remote, which allows you to adjust color and brightness to the setting. I especially like the motion detection, which uses a tiny radar. I.e., it will detect motion without a line-of-sight to the unit. I installed it in the front foyer, and the light turns on when I’m about to enter the foyer, before I’ve even opened the door. I turned the detection radius all the way down.

I bought this light specifically for is listed features and it does exactly that. i wanted something that could: * control how long the light stayed on when activated, as we wanted to light our backdoor steps but not deal with a lingering bright light. * control the motion sensing level, as we wanted it only to activate when someone is approaching the steps or the door * control the brightness, as we didn't want to be blinded by a bright light. As well as a small profile and easy to install. They also include 2 replaceable LED bulbs, which I have never seen, but will be quite awesome if needed. We have the light set to minimum sensor range, 5 seconds and lowest brightness and it is working great for us. I was interested in the sensor approach, as modern day motion detectors use infrared which in warm climates can be slow to detect. This detects quickly and as advertised. While I gave it 5 stars, there are a few suggestions I would offer for future releases: * include a 10 or 15 second option, as 5 maybe too short for some, but 30 is a big jump * maybe offer multiple sensing options as circular or narrower (e.g. front and back, left and right).

Very nice light, I just ordered another one. My wife has Alzheimer's and doesn't understand light switches, so I had to leave a lot of lights on for her. Now when she enters the bathroom it comes on for her. I took off one star because the instructions aren't good and the only video I found basically said, "Hook it up and like magic it works!" No, it doesn't, it takes some messing with. If the company is reading this, make a better video.

I didn't know I needed this until I had it. The light in the middle of the room hardly ever got turned on and when we added a kitchen island, it became inconvenient to turn on and off the light. But this lovely light comes on and goes off all by itself. And it's bright enough for what I want and has the capability for dimming. I also love how low profile it is. Honestly, I'd consider using this again if I had anywhere else to put it.

We were very happy with this light until recently. After 7 months, the light no longer detects movement in the room. I have changed the batteries in the remote, as that wasn’t working either. It still is not working. The worst part is now the light is not picking up any movement at all.

I ordered this one as a test sample and liked it so much I ordered three more! All features work as claimed - they're all on the product page so I won't repeat them here. I like the suspension cable feature that hangs the lamp in place and removes wire strain during installation. It's as if the design team has actually installed an overhead lamp before - what a concept! Anyway, the profuse amount of light and the selectable color temperature make these perfect for the four, 4x6 garage storage closets I put these in. Everything on every shelf is now brightly illuminated. These replaced bare bulb pull chain fixtures that were a problem because the bulb extended 7-8 inches below the ceiling waiting to be broken. These low-profile lamps solve that problem, and the motion detector meant I didn't have to install a switch in each already sheet rocked closet! Buy some!

The motion sensor doesn't work. It did for a little while and then it stopped. But the light itself is quality and lights up the room very well, much better than the original light so we decided to keep it regardless. This light will light up your room but I can't say that the motion sensor will do it's job.
