It works great and just as expected. Not sure it was really necessary, though! They offer a software version and a cloud version.

I generally prefer cloud management, but wanted to give the local controller a try. Works as advertised and I would recommend if you need an on-prem controller. I will probably default to cloud, but wanted to have the option.

Setting this up for the first time with a brand new Route10 was a mess - hope you've got another DHCP server available somehow, otherwise you won't be able to activate this with a PC. It insists on using HTTPS with a locally resolved domain for setup instead of a good old IPv4 address for its web interface. I couldn't for the life of me get this activated using an iPhone over bluetooth. Honestly I should've returned this and just stuck to the cloud option, as it doesn't really offer anything that the cloud one doesn't, and it uses up a PoE port, because there's no power supply included. If you are like me and you are considering this because of peace of mind of having everything within your home or building, then it's not worth the extra hassle.

Requires and relies on the cloud, not actually local. Expensive and does not implement basic features like turning off auto-updates.

I wanted ti manage my network locally (I realize their could works just fine and has basically zero down time) but this was perfect for me. Works great with Route10. Would recommend.

This network controller requires an internet connection to set it up initially. I personally do not like this aspect. Once it's setup you can manage it locally. My issue is that if you can manage it locally, you can set it up locally. If the product is security oriented it should be that secure by allowing a fully local setup..
