These product is super sturdy for the price. It was designed very carefully. There is a screw to tighten the drive in place as well as the cable so that it doesn’t break loose. It is very durable. That MagSafe and the horse shoe hold well. I record Apple ProRes log onto an external drive, and this functions to allow me to secure the drive to place.

Picked this up to quickly secure my SSD to shoot in ProRes on an iPhone 16 Pro. Works great. Maybe a little bulky, but it's got 3 important elements: the MagSafe, the SSD holder, and the screw to secure the SSD so the bulk is kind of unavoidable.

I first gave this a 3-star review because I thought A, the MagSafe was too weak and B, the Sandisk Extreme was blocking the main camera on an iPhone 16 pro. I was about to return but decided to look closer. It was a little unclear in the instructions that you must first remove the disk attached to the magnet to use it with MagSafe. The magnet is very strong and secure once you take that adhesive disk off. then for the SanDisk problem, I realized I could flip the drive over in the holder and angle it slightly on the phone to avoid any camera blockage. (If you don't angle it, there will be a slight fuzzy shadow from the drive in the lower right corner of your photos.) All-in-all, a stellar product.

It's cool, beautiful and works. Can be used with either detachable cold shoe or magnetic ring (strong magnet 👍). Downside is that, it's heavy.

I like that I can put it on my handheld Mount with the pistol grip. I like that I can magnet it to the back of laptop for those short SSD cords I get with the Lacie rugged Mini SSD. I like I can put different kinds of SSD cards in it. I like that I can mount it on random things to film or live stream from different positions of mount. These are strong. Long lasting and have not gotten ruined yet with industrial use even on an E-Bike though always feather your device magnetized to it so if it unconnected from the magnet. The teathered phone cases work.

I am currently using the small rig Ssd holder to hold my belkin five in one usb c hub, so it does serve as a dual purpose holder. As long as your measurements in thickness does not go above point 0.6". Strudy, and easy to install on your rig

These are an amazing solution if you use portable hard drives on a laptop or iphone. 100 percent recommend to hold drives on a laptop by sticking a metal circle with the same OD on the back and allows for a seamless attachment of extra storage to your computer. The device also works on a cold shoe if that is your sort of thing but I have just taken the cold shoe adapter off to use the magsafe exclusively. Fantastic idea and an amazing design!

This is quite cool. I use the magnetic loop on my laptop and attach my external hard drive to it.
