The YouTuber EZtechJoe has more detailed technical information, as Astro contacted him directly regarding the revision. Because of this update, I’m now planning to purchase the new revised 3/8” mid-length swivel sockets as well. No Issues with Shallow Sockets For clarity, I’ve been using Astro’s 3/8” shallow swivel sockets for over a year with zero issues. They performed exceptionally well and were rated among the top 3/8” swivel sockets on the Torque Test Channel, which matches my real-world experience. Final Thoughts Astro continues to prove they offer excellent value, smart engineering, and real durability. These sockets work flawlessly in ratchets and impacts, fit where they need to, and hold up to serious torque.
