Non technical, honest ownership review.
I am by no means an audiophile. If you are reading this review, it's safe to assume you aren't one either. My need for a pc headset was very specific: 1. Need that usb because analogue is a pain in the ***. This particular model does come with a 3.5 mm jack, which plugs into the usb adapter hyper X provides in the box. They advertise the virtual surround but I almost never find myslef using it or any of their other hardware buttons present on the adapter. The cable is braided and feels like your chair won't absolutely murder the wire should you decide to actually run over it. 2. Comfort. Gamers tend to play at least a couple of hours. I find most in-ear buds (yuck) , on-ear headphones very uncomfortable. Even more so after using them for more than an hour. Thankfully these ones are over the ear. Means your entire ear is tucked by soft cushion resting around the ear. I have no discomfort even after using these for 7 hours (yes I tested). 3. Build quality. It's really good. The cable is braided. The frame is metal/alloy and it doesn't bend. The cushion is great and hyper X packages it with a fabric option. Nice touch. The headphone feels premium and classy. 4. Durability. Honestly, the usb adapter on my headphone stopped working , hyper X got it replaced at no charge. Other than the wonky cable, nothing else seems to be suffering from any kind of wear and tear or any visible signs of detoriation. I have been using it for almost 2 years. Mostly at my desktop and at times as travel companions for flights. 5. Sound. Okay, this is where it gets more subjective than other categories. To me, the sound is good. Maybe even great. The bass is thumpy, the vocals are crisp and music and games both sound pleasant to my ear. Im not going to comment on lows, mids and highs since I really can't tell the difference. I recommend if sound is your biggest priority when buying headphones. Try these before committing to buy them. The muffs provide a good deal of sound dampening without actually giving you a headache like the audio technica m50x. The don't squeeze against your skull. For gaming , you should be looking no further in headphones that offer a complete package. But if sound design, music is your thing, you might want to go with something better suited for that field.

Great Purchase (Cloud Core 7.1) read this if you have a high preference to base.
I got these Hyper x Cloud Core 7.1 headphones and am happy with my purchase. This is my first Hyper x Product. The comfort is superb, I used them continuously for 4 hours without any discomfort and I even wear glasses. Even though the headcups aren't rotatable they don't cause an issue to comfort. The headband is a little on the shorter side, I have to extend the aluminium size adjusters to the maximum to fit my head but I do have a huge skull so it's fit your head. The sound quality is very nice, it's what you would expect from 53 mm drivers. The highs and lows, treble is up to the mark. BUT the BASE is a little disappointing, it does not have that thump behing it but seeing that it's a gaming headphone, it's suited for games. The base isn't super loud but it's enough to enjoy casual media. The noise cancellation is not very good, when you are on full audio you wouldn't be able to hear people talking next to you but if they're loud then you can clearly hear them. I think the sound could have been a little louder. I got a 3.5mm cord splitter. The default cable length of the headphone is a little more than the distance between your extended arms. But with the splitter it's very long. I didn't measure it but it's enough for you to move around is an averagely sized room i.e it's very long. You also get a DTS spatial audio subscription which I'm eager to try out. Overall these headphones are awesome, the base could have been louder but very good for gaming.

Okayish headphones with the worst durability
UPDATE: MIC IS DEAD after a year of use, it just died, didn't do anything, but the headphones are still functioning Ok, so my cloud stinger 2 headphones i brought around dec 2023 were like really nice for the price even though they are charging more for a budget headphones, the stinger 2 had nice and crisp audio and even the mic was good but it unfortunately broke after 4 months. So i bought this, the cloud core and thought it would be good, it is good but the audio quality felt like a downgrade compared to a stinger 2 and that was like 4k inr compared to this. The cloud core headphones has very bad durability, after a month, the extenders or the small plastic parts broke, its no biggie, you could still extend your headphone size. Then after the 2nd month, the other side of the plastic extender part broke and mind you, im very careful with my headphones. Apparantly if you keep changing the size in order to fit your head, these headphones tend to break really fast and it was not that comfortable at first but i got used to it. The mic still works which is a good thing and i hope it stays that way till next year, i will update this review if it does break or does not work. My advice is, do not get this headphone, instead get the cloud 2 or 3, never go for the core options since they dont last long.

One of my first major headsets - I feel very happy for the quality of the product and the price paid (a bit over 100 with shipping). From background researching headsets currently available, this one appears to be the best purchase for a mid-high range headset that does not feature full surround sound. If you are looking for surround sound as a must have, this does have simulated 7.1 (which is okay, see below) but expect to pay an extra 100 dollars if you want a same quality headset featuring full surround sound! First Impressions: The product came in a well packed shipping box - no damage. The outer product box detailing the specs of the headset opens to reveal a very stylish, slick looking box with a subtle, glossy HyperX logo. Lifting the top off the box revealed indulgent foam packing, presenting the headset and it's accessories in elegant style. The packaging alone made me feel like I had bought something worthwhile with a lot of care and thought put into the experience of unboxing, and storage. The box itself is nice enough that I'm hanging on to it for future use (and storage of the headphones if need be). First Tests: I started by plugging the headset fresh out of box into my phone and putting on a range of music - the sound quality is phenomenal. After using the stock headphones that come with phones, and higher quality ear buds, this set gives such a rich experience that I'm quite blown away with the overall sound. All sound ranges are audible and present a full bodied suite of balance options with devices that allow you to mix. I then plugged the headphones into my high performance laptop and listened to another sample body of music - sound quality again was great, and my motherboard sound processing really gave a bit of extra juice to the head set that the phone did not provide (noticeable, but they still worked excellently well on the phone). Using my mixing options on the computer I put the headphones through their paces with full ranges of balance and they held up across the board. In terms of a general purpose listening headset, these give quite the bang for buck - may other revues talk about these being audiophile level quality, and I would have to agree. Gaming Test + Mic: I plugged the headset into my laptop again and hit up a few games - alone then with friends. Solo: Again the headset performs to impress - the games sounded new and fresh, I heard familiar scenes/sounds in games with a whole new light. Everything from loading music to in game audio of reloading, shooting, character voices, and ambient atmosphere became not only more apparent, but completely engrossing and impressive. You can finally hear the real quality and detail that sound engineers have put into games to make a fully immersive experience. Can't say enough how impressed I am. Group + Mic: Voices and sound come through really well. The mic comes through very clear, though not professional recording quality, gamer approved quality for sure. My friends could immediately tell I had made a change to my set up by the way I sounded - for the better. Everyone agreed the mic quality was clear and ambient sounds around me were significantly muffled compared to an open mic. Xbox One: I plugged these into my xbox One controller + stereo headset adapter. Again sound quality impressed me (Last Word in Destiny has so many bonus sounds that I hadn't heard before!) They may not be surround sound, but the soundstage certainly helps you pinpoint directionality of sounds when playing games. Mic issue: As of right now, the mic does not work with Xbox One, this is a firmware 'issue', in so far as Microsoft has not updated their system to support the mic YET. I contacted Microsoft and I'm assured that all 3rd party headsets will have their specs updated into the console/controller and full mic functionality is coming. Comfort: These are a dream to wear, super comfortable and the replaceable foam ear pads easily switch out for the included velour ear pads which are just as nice, and help keep your ears cool. The head band is also very generously padded. Super comfy to wear even over long periods of gaming/music or movies. 7.1 Surround sound and Included USB dongle: My laptop's motherboard sound drivers do a completely comparable, if not all around better job than the dongle. You lose a lot of quality upon plugging in the dongle, the ability to control the sound from the dongle IS nice, but not worth the hit to sound quality. That being said, if you have a slower PC or no real built in audio options, the Dongle can roughly match what my top of the line Asus can do. Remember that not every PC has built in, or quality sound cards that can drive this headset to its full potential - the dongle can bridge that gap - buyer beware if you already have good sound options in your PC the Dongle is not worth the extra money compared to the original cloud headphones. The differences are subtle but if you can grab these at the same cost - do so. Overall: BUY THESE. Awesome headset if it's in your price range and no surround sound is not a deal breaker. For their price I doubt you could find a better all in one set up.

Hade ett par likadana som höll bra i 6 år, på sjunde året började konstlädret att vittra sönder (lurarna funkade lurarna lika bra för det), köpte ett par likadana eftersom jag är så nöjd och ville ha ett par nya fräscha.
