We own four dogs. Technically, they belong to my husband, but my washing machine would like a word with both of us. Between the fur, the “mysterious outdoor smells,” and whatever they roll in for fun, our washer has seen things. I bought the Uproot Clean Washing Machine Cleaner fully prepared to be amazed. I ran it, waited for the magical transformation, and stared into the drum like a judge on a talent show. Result? It cleaned. The washer smells fine. The dogs remain unchanged. Here’s the honest part: I can’t tell the difference between this and the more expensive cleaners. Both seem to do the same job—make the machine not smell like a kennel with a spin cycle. This one just does it without charging me extra for the emotional support. Would I buy it again? Yes. It works, it’s simple, and my washer no longer carries the “eau de dog.” Five stars for doing exactly what it promised and not pretending to be a miracle worker.

Have to say this stuff really works! I have two dogs and I was noticing hair build up and kind of a "doggy" odor in my not- very-old washing machine. I got these tablets and was pretty skeptical, but after using once a month (and twice a month when dogs are in a shedding period) for a year, the odor and excess hair problem seems to have cleared up. Very satisfied. No clue what is actually in it and what it could be doing to the environment, but it does get the washing machine clean. Would definitely recommend and purchase again when these run out. [I use on the "Clean tub" setting with hot water, but if you don't have the clean tub setting, just use on normal setting with hot water]

It may have done a decent job cleaning my metal tub, however it did not get rid of the black gunk in the front load gasket / seal. I still have to clean that manually using a heavy rag. I've used other washing machine tablets and this one was no better than those...which means none work very well. Update: the company refunded my purchase, so I increased the rating to 3 stars.

My washer was not operating correctly, to find out it was full of dog hair that I could not see by looking into the drum. It was going to cost me $800 for someone to "clean" the washer to get it back and running properly. I started researching and found this product so why not try it right? I put a tab in and it worked!! I was amazed that not only did it make my washing machine smell good it actually cleaned it and is not operating as it should with out spending hundreds of dollars! I Highly recommend! This product works and is so easy to use!

This product is AMAZING!! We have 4 dogs & nothing has worked until now. We very happy that it works so well & has pleasant scent—nor purfumy!!
