Not only is it sold at greatly inflated price compared to Europe, much of what is being sold here is simply not genuine and is refined or worse still pomace oil which has been banned in some European countries. Luckily this Disano of extra virgin olive oil brand is real. It has a pleasant fruity aroma and flavour profile with a peppery aftertaste , indicating the presence of beneficial polyphenols. Furthermore, it solidifies below 10⁰c which is a good indicator of its authenticity.
