Vgate iCar Pro 2S Bluetooth OBD2 Scanner Fixd Car Diagnostic Tool Code Reader for Android & iOS & Windows, Black

This thing is plug and play as promised. Easy to connect to via bluetooth to get started with an android phone. Running apps that can communicate with the OBD2 all seem to work. Primarily I'm using it for Torque app and it's pulling all of the information I want quickly. Haven't had any disconnects yet. If you have a head unit that can use apps then you could also connect directly from there and display information on it like you would from your phone.

After buying several 10 dollar obd scanners I paid a little bit more and it was well worth it. Works great. I use obd pro app with it. Does what I want it to do

It works as intended. I just wish it did more, like programming keys and TPM sensors.

Allowed me to register new battery in 2019 VW Tiguan and change from lead acid to AGM when teamed up with Car Scanner Pro iPhone app.

This is so incredibly confusing how to use I finally gave up trying to figure it out. The manual given has multiple models inside of it so it’s hard to tell which one is for your model. I was unable to connect this and use it because it was too confusing to figure it out and I’m usually very good with technology so this would be very difficult for those who aren’t to figure out.

If I had read the literature in excruciating detail, I would have probably not requested this Vgate OBD2 Bluetooth code reader to evaluate because I assumed that it came with (included for free) the software to do the common things these devices are used for like reading and resetting codes. Unfortunately it is only an interface between your vehicle and your cell phone and how you view and analyze that information is purely up to a third party's software, which can be a substantial extra expense. If all you want to do is find out why your “check engine” light comes on, there are far less expensive self contained units that quite frankly are much easier for a non-mechanic to use and understand. If you want to get real time engine performance data on your cell phone, this Vgate device is probably a good bet.

Good OBDII Interface worked well with Dash Command. Returned it. Chose another model.

bought toremove the backup beep in reverse on Prius 2012. worked exactly as suggested. returned my CT OBDII reader as it wasnt compatible. this worked and at half the price.
