I had seen a few rather bad reviews for SOME cake cutters so went for a better s/steel more expensive cutter.. we weren't dissapointed! this was absolute magic, easy to adjust for different depth cakes, a nice clean cut with no tearing.We used this cutter to get a smooth top, also to get a good flat base/top for butter icing then finishing with fondant on a birthday cake(my first attempt). It looked lovely,clean,flat and without alot of smoothing!Brilliant!I have since used it again to split into two layers a basic plain sponge baked in ONE tin instead of two and it looks great (only one domed top) and half the washing up!! it was brilliant,thankyou again. Really pleased with this purchase. I used to just use guess work to cut across cakes, but with this I can now get the perfect slice and good looking cakes. It's a bit fiddly and could probably do with being a bit sharper? You sort of have to "saw" the cake until it breaks in and starts cutting across, but the results are worthwhile.

This is a brilliant product. I can't cut straight for toffee but that failing is cleverly disguised thanks to this little beauty! Cuts perfectly and leaves you with a really nice finish. I just wish I'd got one sooner.
