A Set of New Testament Journaling Editions, Spiral-Bound for Comfortable Study and Note-Taking The ESV Scripture Journal, Spiral-Bound Edition: New Testament Set was created to facilitate in-depth note-taking. It features the complete New Testament in 19 separate volumes with an easy-to-read layout, 12-point type, and generous space for notes. The spiral-bound format lies flat for comfortable reading, writing, and sketching. Perfect for recording prayers and reflections during Bible study, this journaling edition encourages deeper interaction with God’s Word. Focused Bible Journaling: Features the ESV New Testament with ample space for notes Convenient Layout: Pages lie flat to make reading and writing more comfortable An Individual ESV Scripture Journal, Spiral-Bound Edition Is Also Available for Every Book of the Bible Review: Excellent Set of Scripture Journals - I have worked with several of the spiral-bound Scripture journals in this series, mostly the Old Testament. The New Testament volumes follow the same format as those and are a good resource for those that like to write in their Bibles or like to take notes on Sunday mornings. These follow a very consistent format. When open and laid out flat, the text of the Scripture is on the left page, and the right page is set up with rule lines for writing. The presentation of the Scripture is straightforward - no study notes or cross-references, just the text. This is good for those that want to seriously explore the Bible on their own. The full text is there, book by book and separated into 19 volumes. The pages are not bright white but are a creamy color that is easier on the eyes. One of the advantages of a set like this is that if you know what book(s) of the Bible are being covered on Sunday morning, it's only necessary to take the one or two that are specifically covered. This is easier than toting a full Bible. They're also very handy for taking notes during the sermons. I am very pleased with this set. They're formatted and organized nicely, they're convenient, and they aren't cluttered. They are ideal for those that like to dissect Scripture or like to write down thoughts or notes about a passage. Review: ESV is often identical to well-known versions memorized years ago - This is a nice set of 19 spiral bound Scripture books with ample room for note taking. The lefthand page has the passage, the righthand page has a very faintly lined page so light that you can easily ignore the lines and write whatever size you want. If you choose to follow the lines, you will find they are spaced every 7/32” and the lines are 3-3/4” wide. There are 30 lines on a page. There may be a few blank pages at the end of each spiral bound pamphlet (but the quantity of blank pages is not related to the size of the book, e.g., Mathew has 1 extra blank page, but the Colossians/Philemon book has 4 extra pages). It would seem like a longer book would have more blank pages (so that you continue from some note from the middle of the book at the end). When I say “blank” here, those have the same faint lines (except on both sides of the sheet). According to the preface, “the ESV is an ‘essentially literal’ translation that seeks, as far as possible, to reproduce the meaning and structure of the original text and the personal style of each Bible writer.” The few verses I checked out (e.g., Romans Road), seemed identical to the well know versions that I’ve memorized years ago.

Nice Set for Bible Journalers
This set includes all of the New Testament ESV Scripture journals. They come carefully packaged in a sturdy product box from the publisher, which means that they are likely to arrive in nice condition, no matter what kind of packaging Amazon uses to ship them. These journals are printed with the text on the left side of the book and lined journaling pages on the right. This series does not include study notes, or even basic footnotes, and just has the text of Scripture and basic section headings. The formatting and font size are comfortable and easy to read, especially in comparison to the cramped, double-column format that most people are familiar with from other Bibles. These journals have nice quality spiral bindings, and the pages turn easily. The paper looks nice, and is much thicker than in standard Bibles. However, it's still thin enough that most gel pens will bleed through onto the text on the other side. The covers are thin and flimsy. These cheap covers pass savings onto the consumer, since if each book in the series had a sturdier cover, the cost to buy them all would be exponentially higher. However, people should be aware that the covers are basically just thick cardstock, and that the journals are floppy and bendable. Most people will want to lay these on a hard, flat surface before writing in them. The thicker books in the collection are more durable, but this New Testament set involves many very thin, small ones. These will show wear very easily. This set will appeal to people who like Bible journaling, but who feel reluctant to write in their traditionally bound Bibles or feel that there isn't enough space available in journaling Bibles. These notebooks provide ample space for jotting down personal reactions, prayers, and reflections from study, and even though I wish that these were designed in a sturdier way, the current design helps keep them more affordable.

Love this Bible set
Traditional Bibles are thick, heavy, don't lay flat when open and take time to find a chapter or passage. This set of Bibles books are individual spiral bound books of each Bible book. The cover is nicely printed with the book name. The spiral binding is sturdy metal. The pages are thick. The books feel and look quality. The books have the writing on the left side and the font is dark and a good size. On the right side is a blank, unlined page for note taking. The pages lay completely flat. This set fits my needs. I read at the kitchen table while I eat my meals. It's easy to just have a book there, flip to the page I marked and take a few minutes to read. These books are perfect for my needs and I've now gotten back into consistent Bible reading. A quality product that can help change your life.

Very Nice
Overall, I’m pretty happy with this. It works as expected and gets the job done without any major issues. The quality feels solid, and it seems like it will hold up over time. There were a couple of minor quirks or areas where it could be improved, but nothing that would make me regret the purchase. For the price, it’s definitely a good value, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for something like this.

Nice set of scripture journals
The ESV Scripture Journal, Spiral-Bound Edition: New Testament Set is great for personal or gift giving. This is a set of the full new Testament in 19 books. They are smaller in size, so it's easy to take along on walks or retreats. It has the scriptures on the left and writing pages on the right. The scriptures are a nice size font to read and the entire right side is available for journaling or notes. The front and back covers are a thicker stock for protection of the journal pages and the spiral binding makes it easy to open and fold all the way back or lay flat. This is a great Bible/journal for those who love to journal and go deeper into just one book at a time. It would make a great small group idea and gift, too.

Great, reflective way to read the New Testament
I really love this idea. On the left side of the page is a page of scripture, on the right side is a place to write your notes, thoughts and other notes to help process what you are reading and make it personal. This is in genera, a brilliant idea. I would like to have given it 4.5 stars because it is not particularly high quality. the paper is rather thin and doesn't hold up to pressures of journalling and highlighting or underlining as much as I would like. But the spiral bound is great, The journal per book of the NT is great. All in all, an wonderful product.
