LOVE LOVE LOVE
Ok, so let me start off by saying that I've been a backyard BBQer, griller, and smoker for many years. I'm always trying out new tools, gadgets, life simplifiers, etc. A few years ago, I needed a Bluetooth thermometer for when we were at our vacation condo. Our condo is on the 2nd floor and maybe 75 feet from where the grills are (down on the ground level). Close enough that Bluetooth is within range and that I can monitor temperatures without having to run up and down the stairs all the time. Often times I'm smoking or grilling multiple things, so having support for multiple probes is important. The Solis can handle up to 8 at a time. So, a few years ago, I purchased this and loved it. Unlike many others I've tried, the iPhone software is simple to operate. I'm a software programmer by trade so tech doesn't usually get the better of me, but there are times that I've used some other manufacturers' software and wondered how they even released it in the state it was in (poor!). Not true with the Solis app. Also, the device itself is stupid simple to pair with the app. Originally, I purchased the Solis with the 8 probes. While I typically only use 1 to 2 at a time, it's nice having others available if/when needed. Each probe has it's own colored handle and the app allows you to choose the color of the probe plugged into each port, so it's simple to see which meat is at which temp. You don't need to think about it. Great UI choice! Setting desired temps or cook times is easy, as is adding your own meats and specs to the app. For instance, Brisket is not one of the choices provided by default, but it was simple to add it, tell it to start giving me an alarm at around 198 internal temperature and assign that to my probe. It saves too, so the next time I have a brisket on, I plug in my probe, select Brisket from my list, and boom... done. Sadly, 1 month ago I dropped the Solis. I was able to get a couple of more cooks out of it but the display was wonky and the device started exhibiting behaviors like not shutting off, or taking forever to power up and stay powered. No big deal. I got my use out of it (years) and it was my own fault. After the last cook I did with it, I promptly went back to my Amazon orders, found the device, and clicked Buy It Again. This time I got the one that came with two probes since it's the same device and I already have all of my other probes, which work perfectly well with it. It arrived the other day. Same great unit, two new probes to go with my other 8, and this time came in a nice little zippered case, as opposed to the cardboard box of the old unit (which I've kept for storing the thermometer and probes all this time, rather than shove them into a BBQ tools drawer). I took it out for a test spin immediately. Within the app I clicked Forget Device for my old one, told it to search for the new one, turned the new one on to Pairing Mode and it connected immediately. All of my settings were still there (from the app, not stored with the old device, so that was a bonus!), then I put a Tri-Tip* on the grill. I couldn't be happier with it, and I HIGHLY recommend this unit for a good, quality, reasonably-priced unit. You won't be dissapointed! * Bonus content for all of us guys that see someone reference cooking meat and immediately scream "WHAT DID YOU COOK AND HOW DID YOU COOK IT AND HOW DID IT COME OUT!?!?!?!?": I did this with a reverse sear method. I lightly seasoned the Tri-tip (about 2.5 lbs) with Killer Hogs A.P. (basically salt, pepper, garlic), then put a layer of Killer Hogs Steak Rub on top of that for added flavor and texture. I let that sit for about an hour or so. I then brought the grill (sadly a gas grill was all I had access to, but it's all good) up to about 250 degrees by lighting the burners on the right side only. I put the meat on the left side to cook via indirect heat. When the meat got to 110 degrees, I pulled it off, put my GrillGrates (BUY THOSE! They're the single best grilling accessory you can get) on, and cranked the heat til the grill hit 550 to 600. I then put the Tri-tip back on for about a minute and a half per side, until the meat hit 125. At 125 I pulled the meat off, wrapped it in butcher paper, and let it stand for about 15 minutes. It was a perfect medium-rare to medium, tender, juicy, and all around perfect cook!

Great product.
I have been cooking steaks for years. Recently I took it to another level with the method that promises to deliver the best desired target cook through. - the reverse sear. I was doing everything correct but was getting the desired temperature or cook through 7/10 right. Success would vary because each steak is a different thickness so getting it right was never a guarantee. No more! This thermostat took my reverse sear to a scientific level. My guests agreed- restaurant style perfection. This thermostat is awesome. Set the desired temperature and just wait for it to cook. No more fear of over cooking/under cooking. The blue tooth app worked wonderfully. Setting off alarms at the desired temperature I set when ready. The 6 probes worked perfectly. Love having so many of them - totally useful since last night i prepared 5 ribeyes each to a different degree of cooking (rare-medium etc). The probes accurately let you gauge the cook through. With out it- it would have been impossible. My wife thinks I’m crazy. This is the first amazon review I’ve written. And I’m glad I am writing it. Ok now the cons: 1. The countdown timer needs to be updated. Too rudimentary. The app should be updated to show an accurate real time - countdown that is useful in its face not through a secondary click through. 2. No warnings/instruction about this that I could see. There is a grey circular plastic piece that surrounds the head of the probes. I thought it was part of the probe handle. I didn’t realize they are separate pieces. Unfortunately learned the hard way that these pieces should be removed from the probe before going into the oven. They melted and now I don’t have the apparent intended use of being able to wrap the probes wires around it when not in use:( I wish I could have some sent to me. Still 5 stars. Done even hesitate.

Accurate, fast, and great companion app
My observations so far: Comes with six color-coded probes that can be independently programmed to different meat types, target temps, alarms, etc. This is a huge plus. The companion app works great with my phone via Bluetooth. I use a Samsung S20 Ultra. The probes are meant to be left in the food the entire time it is cooking so that progress can be monitored (plus, why else would you have 6 probes?). Can be used as a "spot probe" but it is NOT fast enough on the first reading if you're worried about heat dissipation with the grill/oven lid/door open. A cool or "fresh" probe takes around 2-4 seconds to register temps on the first reading (the second and beyond will be fast). This is close to an eternity for my preference. A probe that is warm (has been in the food the whole time) can be used to poke around other foods and the readings are near instant. Just wear gloves because the probe will obviously be hot. Cold probe = 2-4 seconds to read temp on the first reading Hot/warm probe = near instant The probes should not be left in a grill/oven that is pushing close to 500 degrees for an extended period of time. They can melt or be damaged. In my opinion, they are perfect for most smoking/grilling/baking projects. I smoked my first brisket (around 15 lbs) using 4 probes to see if the heat distribution was close to even or if I needed to reposition the meat. I later used all 6 probes on 6 different steaks to cook them all to individually desired temps without having to continuously open the smoker lid (some wanted medium, others wanted medium well, etc). They worked amazingly. Super accurate! Cleaning is also super easy, and the included case is very nice and sturdy. Nothing about this device (and probes) feels "cheap" or "fragile". I still can't explain how something of this much quality is priced so low.

Good multiple probe thermometer work great, many useful features.
Great wired thermometer, struggles with connectivity when Im inside the house and grilling outside 50' away. But the app works well easy to use settable alarm are a nice feature.

Insanely excellent product at a great price! Best of class for wireless meat thermometers!
This is my third meat thermometer purchase in the past month. First I bought a Thermapen Mk4 for the high price of $99 just to get its industry-leading fast temperature reads (about 1-2 seconds in my experience) and very refined features. Then after my wife asked why we couldn't leave the Thermapen in the meat during cooking, I rolled up my sleeves to find a good solution that would allow constant monitoring of meat temperature and also grill temperature during cooking, ideally with a wireless remote receiver. I settled on the very popular ThermoPro TP20 , sold via Amazon Prime for $59.99. This seemed like a great product, with two probes and wireless RF receiver with belt clip, alarms and prompts for target temperatures by type of meat. It currently has 3,955 reviews and 4.5 stars average rating. Best of class, right? Maybe, but there's a *better* new class - meat thermometers with Bluetooth app remote monitoring. Tenergy Solis is currently the best value and possibly best product in this class. It comes with SIX probes and costs only $54.99: a bargain. I found this Tenergy Solis only after my wife wondered why a remote receiver was needed (with ThermoPro TP20) when a Bluetooth app would avoid the need for another device. Smart woman! There are several such options on Amazon now, and Tenergy Solis seemed to have the best features for the money. Having now used it, here's what I LOVE: 1. No physical receiver! Uses IOS or Android app on your smartphone / tablet. Saves a lot of storage bulk, and save carrying around an extra gadget. 2. Includes six probes! One competitor supports six probes but includes only two with the base package. Tenergy Solis is a better value. 3. Color-coded probes with matching colors in the app! (However, the sockets on the monitor are only numbered, so you have to remember the correct color sequence when plugging in. This is Green / Blue / Red on left side (1, 2, 3 sockets) and Orange / Yellow / Purple on right side (4, 5, 6 sockets. A mnemonic: Gene Blew Red Or Yelled Perpetually.) 3. Probes have an integrated reel to wind up the 4ft leads. The reel is extremely well designed and solves a big clutter problem I encountered with the ThermoPro product, which I found impossible to store easily in the kitchen, with its unruly probe leads and no attempt by the manufacturer to provide a solution. 4. Bluetooth range is excellent. I was dubious that Bluetooth could handle running about 60 feet from kitchen to living room, beyond line of sight, but it did fine and notably better than the Anova 800W immersion circulator's Bluetooth, which can't handle the same distance. I tested with iPhone X. 5. App has loads of features that just aren't possible in a static LCD monitor like ThermoPro. You can assign alarms to each probe for maximum temperature or a temperature range (high and low), with an alarm sounding the alert when the target is reached or range is exceeded. The app includes suggested targets for various meats, including 5 different cook levels for beef. You can name and save custom presets with your own targets / ranges. You can add timers for each probe and add comments to timers (like "flip burgers"). You can choose Ringtone or Vibration for alerts, and there is a connection alert if you go out of range / lose sync for more than about 15 seconds. 6. Accurate temperatures! The probes matched the Thermapen readings, and the Thermapen is best of industry. 7. Automatic power off for the controller when inactive. Another missing feature for ThermoPro. Things that Tenergy Solis could improve: 1. Auto-detect the color of each probe, or number the probes to match the numbered sockets on the controller, or add a color indicator for each socket on the controller. 2. Add a volume control to the alerts in the app, especially the out-of-range alert, which is very startling. (IOS) 3. Add choice of alert tones in the app. (IOS) 4. Enable dismissing / silencing alerts by flicking away the popup instead of having to tap the popup and go to the app, which is more disruptive to whatever you are trying to do with phone / tablet at that moment. (IOS) 5. Provide a stopwatch feature to the controller and the app. (I found myself toggling between the app and a stopwatch app.) App does have a timer feature, but I prefer a stopwatch to tell me how long I've been searing a steak. 6. Include a bag or case for stowing at least the probes in a drawer. Trim as they are with the cable reels, I'm not wild about tossing six sharp probes loose in a drawer. 7. Speed up the temperature readings. It takes about 10 seconds to get a stable reading. (Improving this might be expensive, as the much faster Thermapen is $99.) If it's very expensive, then maybe offer a fast-read feature for just one probe. 8. Add a WiFi version. While the Bluetooth range is excellent, I'm sure some people will need WiFi to handle thick walls or long distances. I would have bought the WiFi if offered, mainly because I didn't think Bluetooth would have sufficient range for my house. (Turns out, Bluetooth is fine for me.)

A MUST HAVE for any outdoor grill or smoker or even inside oven cooking!!! 5 stars!!!
I ordered this as a replacement for the same item under a different name. Unfortunately I erred in that I let it the first one get to close to the heat and the case kinda melted but still worked. Then, after 5 years, I dropped it and I guess it gave up the ghost and died, so I ordered this one since I was so happy with the first one. I really like that they send you 6 leads (my original only had four) plus a handy case to store it in. It works the same but I had to upload a newer version of the app on my Android phone. It works great and the numbers are even larger, which these senior eyes really appreciate. I leave one lead 24/7 in my smoker to monitor the temp there and the other 5 (rarely need 5) to monitor the temp of what I'm smoking/cooking. Great for chicken as you can temp the breasts, thighs, and legs individually! I plan on giving these as gifts to my kids, and my grown grand-kids at Christmas. Yes, I highly recommend, and I have done just that to anyone who might benefit from this product. Just keep it far away from the heat!!!!

Best grill thermometer I have ever owned/used
I do a lot of grilling and I cannot imagine doing serious grilling (beyond burgers and dogs) without a thermometer. I bought this to replace a failing Maverick single probe wireless thermometer. The Maverick was nice but it didn't work with your smart phone. So you had a base unit that accepted one probe and a remote unit. This used your home wifi to connect. It had a number of meat settings. It was good for what it was, but once the display got really hard to read I went on the market and bought this Tenergy model. The Tenergy is a light years improvement over what I had. The Tenergy works with your smart phone (android or iPhone). It has six temperature probes, all color coded. I have a pretty large grill and also a nice Pit Barrel cooker. I have yet to need more than two probes at once, but glad this kit includes six. So you get six temperature probes and a base station that communicates with your phone software (after you download the Tenergy App). The smart phone software is fantastic. It lets you assign different meats/items to each probe color for your current grilling. It also lets you customize temperature settings and save them. For example, I often cook brisket. So you might start the cook and take it to 160 degrees Fahrenheit. Then you pull it and wrap it and cook it again until 200 degrees Fahrenheit. You do a similar thing with pork shoulder. So you can program a setting for brisket at 160. Then program another brisket setting for 200. It is really nice to have that flexibility and just stick in a temperature probe and then associate that with a configured temp program. Then just kick back and wait for the software to alert you via the phone. There is even an alarm that will go off if you get too far away from the probes base station. But if you have to run out and get something and take your phone, you can reconnect it in a jiff when you get back. I paid something like $40 for the single temperature probe Maverick. The Tenergy is a great deal at $52+ with six probes and the smart phone software. I love it and I can't recommend it enough.

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT!
UPDATE 7/10/2018: Tenergy is now unresponsive. They have refused to buy this defective product back only because I am past the 30 day return period. They will only replace probes under warranty after doing an ice bath test. Problem is, the ice bath test caused me to find one of the probes I thought was good, to be bad. I now have one good probe left, the rest are either completely inoperative (one shows temperatures of over 500 degrees) or off by 20 degrees. Some are only off once they are put in the oven/grill/smoker and have heat applied to them, but pass the ice bath test. The fact that Tenergy won't stand by their product, is telling. UPDATE 7/6/2018: Tenergy is communicating with me. They are willing to replace any and all failed probes if I send them a picture of an ice-bath test, but they are not willing to take the device back and give me a refund (it's been 90 days). Just FYI, these probes are used while smoking meats. Rarely are they exposed to temperatures above 300 degrees, but they are exposed to those temperatures for up to 18 hours at a time. UPDATE 7/2/2018: 2 more probes failed during an overnight cook in the smoker at 225 degrees. These probes are absolutely terrible. Tenergy has been unresponsive. UPDATE May 2018: Can't recommend this monitor 2 out of 6 of the probes have failed, and a 3rd is on its way out. After being in a smoker at 225 degrees for 16 hours, two died and now report temps much higher than actual. Now every time I cook I have to check every probe against another probe I know to be good, as well as against themselves. If two already failed, I expect the rest to fail before the end of summer. You'll notice that in the last paragraph of my original review I said, "WHEN, not if, one of the probes fails". Boy, was I spot on. I just didn't think it would happen so soon. Secondarily, there are a few quirks with the app. Most notably that if you set the temp at 203, it won't go off until the meat actually hits 204. That makes me crazy. Certainly it should wait until 203 is a solid temperature, but it shouldn't wait until 204. If I could return this, I would. I'm going to be seeking out a higher quality device for smoking meats. ORIGINAL REVIEW Man, this thing is great. I just smoked a brisket over the weekend, and used two of the probes in the single brisket. I don't trust probes anymore, so it's nice to be able to do have up to 6. The hardware interface is simple. Almost too simple. The app works really well, but is also almost too simplified. One thing I have to say about this, is connecting, disconnecting, and connecting to another device, works like a charm! So much better than Weber's iGrill junk. My wife and I share the burden when smoking meats, so we often switch off. All you have to do is close the app on one device, and you can open it on another. What doesn't transfer is the preset info. If I have it set to one preset, and my wife connects to it, the preset is lost on the device. But once she sets up a preset and then disconnects, it still stays on the device for monitoring. I love that it uses AA batteries. I had it on for over 20 hours, and the battery meter didn't move. Down sides: App lacks a few features. In order to set a specific temperature, you MUST create a preset. There is no way around it. That's annoying. The presets are well done though. I just can't figure out how to delete one. The timers are super-weird. You start a timer on a specific probe, and on the temperature screen it shows the number of minutes you originally set the timer for, not what the current time is. If you tap the timer icon, it goes to a point where you can edit the timer, and therefore see the time left on the timer, but it's not active, so to refresh you must go back and then into the timer edit again. The temperature probe screen should show the time left on the timer(s). I hate that it uses non-standard 3.5mm TRS plugs for the temperature probes, meaning I can't use other probes with the 2.5mm TS plugs I've used for years, unless I come up with my own adapter. It also means that WHEN, not if, one of the probes fails, I have to buy their probes, and can't choose from a higher quality item.

Exceptional Product!!
One of the best purchases ever. Love this unit. The storage container is awesome with a slot for keeping your batteries so they aren't draining in the unit when not in use. It's so easy to wrap the individual thermometers back up with the handy storage frames. The app is easy to use on my iPhone 13 and 14. I've used it outside in the brutal Canadian cold and also use it in our oven when looking for precise temperature control. Hopefully it becomes available again. Highly recommended.

Accurate, 6 probes, Bluetooth, what else can I ask for!!
I have a 57 inch vertical smoker (1390 square inches of cooking space) which means when I want to smoke something like brisket or pork shoulder or sausages, I feel obligated to fill all the racks in my smoker. When I do this, I will usually smoke multiple cuts and sizes of meats. I currently have 4 - 5 different wireless thermometers going at the same time, which means 4 - 5 different transmitter bases and receivers. It can get pretty confusing and cluttered at times. I saw this 6 probe bluetooth thermometer and took the plunge. If I can get away with 1 transmitter base with 6 probes, I will be a very happy cook, and to be able to connect to phone or ipad over bluetooth, even better!! Unfortunately, due to this LONG Canadian Winter, I may have to wait a while before I can actually put the thermometer to work with the smoker. I did however want to power it up, connect all the probes and check the accuracy as well as familiarize myself with the app. From previous experience I have found that with multiple thermometers, they have NEVER read the same temperature, but with these 6 probes, I was very pleasantly surprised that they all read the same temps and they were all accurate when compared to my trusty Thermapen. (see the pics and judge for yourself). Now my take on the App, download it, open it, very easy to operate, you can assign colours to the number probes, set each one for different temp alarms or ranges, meaning, I could for example have 5 different cuts of meat cooking with preset temps or customized temp alarms, and then use the 6th probe for the pit to monitor the cooking temp in which a minimum and maximum range can be set. Lastly there is an alarm that will go off if the bluetooth connection is lost! I am extremely happy with this purchase and cannot wait to start bbq'ing with it for real! I will not have any doubts in its performance given my experience with it so far.
