I typically pay the Apple tax because I know their products work, are well-designed, and I don't have to screw around with cheap junk. Every once in a while when life becomes monotonous, I like to go wild and test my luck. Suppose you need some excitement and are looking for a product that works just until the return period is over; you enjoy buying from a company that doesn't state a warranty and has a customer service department that won't respond to multiple emails. In that case, this is THE connector to purchase. One of the two connectors quit working just after 30 days... Just waiting for the other shoe to drop. I fully understand that when mass-producing these types of items, manufacturing problems happen. They are working on volume.
