I’ve been using the Power Failure Alarm for my freezer and refrigerator, and I’m really impressed with its functionality. It provides peace of mind knowing I’ll be alerted if there’s a power outage or temperature issue with my appliances. Here’s a breakdown of my experience: What I Like: Adjustable Alarm Volume (0-110 dB): The adjustable volume feature is fantastic. Depending on where I place it (in a loud kitchen or quieter pantry), I can set the alarm to a level that’s just right. The 110 dB is LOUD enough to be heard from another room, but I can tone it down if needed. It’s a huge relief to know I’ll hear it, even if I'm not in the immediate area. Clear LED Indicator: The LED indicator is a really nice touch. It lights up when the alarm is triggered, so I can easily see the status at a glance. The color changes based on the alert level, which makes it easy to understand whether the power is out or if the temperature is outside the desired range. 12-Hour Alert Function: I like that the alarm has a 12-hour timer before it resets, so it doesn’t keep ringing non-stop once an issue has been detected. This gives you a window of time to address the issue without being overwhelmed by constant noise, and the alarm automatically resets if everything is back to normal. Versatile Use: I’ve used this alarm not only for my freezer but also for my refrigerator, sump pump, and even the aquarium. It’s a versatile device that works in various situations, and it helps to monitor power loss or temperature fluctuations in different appliances. What Could Be Improved: Not Battery-Powered: One thing to note is that this alarm requires a plug-in to operate (it doesn’t run on batteries). While this isn’t a dealbreaker, it does mean that if there’s a power failure for an extended period, the alarm itself will go off, which might not be helpful if the power outage is widespread and the device itself loses power. If you’re looking for a more portable, battery-operated option, this might not be the best fit. Sensitivity Settings: While the alarm works well for both power failure and temperature changes, there isn't much adjustment for temperature sensitivity. It might be nice to have more control over the specific temperature range at which the alarm triggers (like allowing it to activate only if the freezer temperature rises above a certain threshold). My only minor gripe is that it’s not battery-powered, so it’s not ideal in situations where power outages last longer than a few hours, but for most uses, it works great. Excellent product. Allows user to set the db adjustment and cancel alarms if necessary.

Great product and very easy to set up. The only downside is the alarm volume — when used in the garage, it’s not loud enough to hear inside the house (I tested it). If you’re using it indoors, though, it should work perfectly.

Very effective and useful alarm. Alerts immediately when power goes off - essential if you have a generator, as we do. We need this to alert us to a switchover to the generator, so that the main house heat can be turned off, so as not to bog the generator down with too much amperage demand. The other nice things about it are the ability to modify the volume levels, so it doesn't blast your ears off (like some smoke detectors), and a choice of alert sounds. The replacement outlet on the front of it is the icing on the cake. Just plug and play.

The product includes a clear green light indicator to show it is powered on. It plugs in easily and is very slim so it’s easy to use the pass through plug. The battery lasts for at least an hour. The alarm could be heard a little outside of the house, so it’s plenty loud. It’s a good buy if you have a generator and want to be woken up at night to start it.

Works as advertised.

These are great for the key items you want to know right away if power goes out -- e.g. refrigerators, chest freezers, etc. I also recommend these for anyone running solar generators/power stations. Despite power stations being a great way to keep appliances running during a power outage, they aren't without fault. If you have a fridge or freezer plugged-in to a power station and said power stations AC outlets get switched-off (e.g. after a firmware update), these provide a simple fail-safe for critical items. I have these on the following: • Each power station's main plug to the wall. • Each appliance/device plugged-in to a power station. They work great, they're inexpensive, and if you want to know/hear when power has been cut to a specific device, these are a great option.

This device has several nice features. I like that I can choose the sound of the alarm and that the volume can be adjusted to my preferred level. All of these adjustments can be easily made. However, I do not like the turn-off button being on the side of the alarm. I have the alarm plugged in beside my bed to alert me to a power outage in the middle of the night. It is not easy to find the button to shut-down the alarm in the dark. It would have made more sense to put the shut-off button on top of the device where it could be reached quickly. Other than that issue, the device works well.

It works well. I got it because I hatch chicks in my incubator and every time there are always a power failure that happens in the critical time of incubating. And always at night when I am sleeping. Most of the time I only wake up an hour after and the temperature of the incubator has already dropped and cause many chicks to die. With this item, I have it in my bedroom and when the power goes out, I can rapidly go and engage the emergency generator. Also you can choose among different chimes and especially you can adjust the volume. This way you can adjust it loud enough to wake you up but not to jolt you out of the bed. I wish I had bought this item years ago.

Definitely work! Set the one up in the living room the other downstairs for sump pump. Thought I’d choose the menacing Fire truck driver siren. Woke up one night power was down. Let’s just say I’m used to loud sirens but this had me literally jumping out of bed with the “wholly crap” words. Was able to silence them and put auxiliary power to the pump until power was back on. I’m empressed with the unit, not the FD siren ;)
