Bought this for my daughter who had sat the Barb test for the Army but didn't get the required points for the job she wanted, they told her she could resit in few weeks time, so found this book , ordered and when it arrived it covered everything with great instructions, she practised over the few weeks , went back to resit the Barb and where she previously got 48 she walked away with 75 enabling her to get the job she wanted whilst also opening up other available positions. Definitely worth buying wether it's Army, Raf or Navy your going for as it covers all tests..

Used this book amongst others to take and pass the Royal Navy recruiting test . Plenty of sample tests to the clock which simulates the actual test , includes sample tests for the British army entrance tests and RAF tests too , which I would recommend doing all the tests regardless of which branch you're going for as it will best prepare you. Well worth buying.

Yeah! Passed the test for the Royal Navy. It has been very helpful to have this book to practice. Helped me hone my strategy and not to panic when I could not finish all the questions.

A great guide. I used it to help prepare for the Royal Navy test and while some of the questions in the actual test were a bit more difficult than the practice ones in this book they were of the same style and structure so I at the least had a reall good idea of what to expect. With enough preperation you'll get the score you need.

This Book is a waste of time, The maths part is out dated and doesnt even come close to the real thing, I took my test today and failed because of this book, The real test has alot more algebra, Missing fractions and Indepth worded Questions Feel so dissappointed and now have to wait 12 months to reapply if i have decided by then, better off looking BBC bitesize books and GCSE revision guides

For the price this is a very good book and a well thought out and laid out example of every type of question you will have thrown at you. In addition the time constraints are real world and accurate. Having taken the RAF test myself I'm certain it will be of use. Having said all that this book will not teach you basic decimal/fraction conversion, equations or any other math skill that you WILL need for the exam. You will need a seperate book or internet resource for that. The only other niggling point was that some of the test answers were wrong and with a time constraint imposed its anoying to get stuck on something that's not your fault. Nonetheless I'd recommend this book for its concise introduction to aptitude testing for anyone going for ANY job these days as employers are usually impressed with people who can do things they themselves have forgotten to do and likely have nothing to do with your actual job.

Great investment, my son worked for a week solid using this book and managed to pass his Recruitment Test (RT) with three times the score he needed to join his intended branch. Good quality paper and very good value. Better than other general books on the market. If you want to join HM Forces then this is a must-have in my opinion.

As a tutor, it's important to have lots of practice questions on hand, so that the tutee has to work harder than you do. That's how they learn. This book is great.
