Love the smell, not over powering. The conditioner does not leave my air flat or greasy.

This is my sisters fav. meets all her humane and healthy standards.

However the conditioner is thick and sticky like took forever to rinse out of my fine hair. I could mix this 1 part conditioner to 3 parts water and it would still be too thick and sticky.

The smell is awful. Like, it smells so bad I was gagging in the shower and had to rewash my hair with a different shampoo to try to get rid of the smell. The shampoo is a little funky, but the conditioner is intolerable. As such, I'm hanging on to the shampoo to try to hide the smell with better conditioners, but the conditioner went straight into the trash. They don't smell like much when they're in the bottle, but the second it hits your hair, the smell becomes like a toxic cloud. It is difficult to describe the scent, but it's some combination of sunscreen, wet dog, and lice treatment. I asked my husband to describe the smell and he said "it's like when the dog is in the bathtub but I haven't washed out his flea shampoo yet." So. Yeah. If you want to smell like a flea ridden wet dog, this is for you. Otherwise, find something else. I loved that these came in such big bottles, but was disappointed that they didn't come with pump tops. At this size, they're just too bulky and awkward to use when everything is wet. I didn't drop them, but i had to aggressively shake the conditioner to get it to the top so I could squeeze it out, and I could definitely see myself accidentally slamming this thing down onto the ground. I actually liked how the shampoo performed, though. I felt like my hair was clean, but it didn't take out too much of my semi-permanent hair dye, which I really appreciated. My hair did feel smooth and soft after using the conditioner, but the smell was so bad I had to rewash, so the performance is a moot point. I can't recommend this product in it's current formulation. The pump is really a minor grievance and if I was otherwise happy with this, it would still have gotten full stars. But the smell...I just cannot get past. It's vile. If something changes and the smell improves, this would be a 4 or 5 star product, but as it is at the time of my review, it's a 2.

I feel like this company buried the lede a bit here, no mention is made of several philosophies they adhere to in the creation of these products, you have to go to their website to see that these are all 100% vegan. Everything I've seen suggests that this is actually an American company, not some shell company selling Chinese products out of some guy's garage in Cleveland. The address is in Boca Raton, the website was registered here in the states, and shipping (when bought direct) is domestic only. If true, all of this is a big plus to me. Yeah, the other reviewers are right, the conditioner smells a little weird. They might be overstating it a bit, but I agree that there's a hint of wet dog smell in there, maybe more like a plasticky smell. Hard to say. It fades, but it is a bit unfortunate that it masks the smell of the shampoo, which is actually quite nice. I'd recommend checking out the rest of their lineup if vegan shampoos are something you look for, or if you're interested in supporting US-based businesses. This conditioner might not smell as great as the shampoo, but who knows what their other scents are like. And honestly, even with this one I got over it pretty quick,

I love this combo of color protection Shampoo & conditioner. My hair has been super dry and tangled every time I’ve washed my hair for the last few months. However, after using this set, it not only detangled my hair but it also made my hair super soft, moisturized and smoother. My hair is looking drastically different after using this shampoo and conditioner combo and I’m shocked. I will briefly go over what I thought of the shampoo & conditioner individually. Shampoo: This shampoo is thick(don’t have to use much) but lathers well with water. It also rinses clean and left no residue after. Conditioner: This conditioner is thicker than what I normally use but it felt very moisturizing and it easily kept my hair detangled. Not only that, but even though this conditioner is thick, it didn’t leave my hair feeling weighed down after I rinsed it out. My hair looked like it had more body, shine and it was less frizzy after it dried. Overall, I love this combo of shampoo and conditioner. I can’t praise it enough!!
