I knew I could hardwire it easily enough to the existing exterior light switch. I was not expecting it to be as cool as it is. It was bigger then I expected, the pictures do not do it justice at all. After testing it via plug I cut off the switch and hardwired her in. it took all of five minutes to do. I do have a awning that it is mounted under that protects it from the majority of the elements and I made sure to waterproof where needed with black caulk. I don't think I would have risked mounting it outside without at least some protection from nature. It looks amazing even from a distance but when the sun goes down it will catch your eye from down the street. our customers comment on it every day, even our neighbors think its cool. However, I ordered it for my husbands business bc the details said suitable for business use. After receiving this and contacting the seller I was informed this is not suitable for outdoor use. It should be posted that if you are ordering this for a barber shop, you will not be able to use it outside unless it's covered.
