A wonderful story about the imagination of a little bear, my granddaughter is now 5 and like little bear loves going to the moon for a picnic. Review: Wonderful book - We all enjoy reading this, grandparents, parents and toddlers alike! Fun story with creative imagination.

One of our favorites!
We read this book to our daughter when she was a toddler and she loved it. So we just bought another copy for her young son. This is one of only a handful of books that made that kind of impression on us.

A favorite from childhood - now my nephew’s favorite
One of my favorite books from childhood. My 2 year old nephew loves it just as much I did. So precious to see his enchantment and to be making new memories!

Family Fun - Giggles indeed guaranteed
We've played this game with five-year-olds, and with teenagers, and it's full of silliness. It's a hit with our kids' friends, as well. As players move around the board, they draw chance cards, charade cards, and action cards. The action and charade cards always give players a choice between two actions. (Sing a song, or hold your arms up until the next turn; pretend to wrestle a crocodile, or pretend to make a bed.) "Now you see why I prefer to wrestle a crocodile - I hate making beds." It's a great game to keep on hand, and a wonderful way to spend time together as a family. Highly recommended.

inspiring read
This is a lovely story from Jill Murphy who also writes all the wonderful tales of the 'Large' family of elephants. In this story a little bear uses his vivid imagination to explore space using a colander for a space helmet and a cardboard box for a rocket... inspire children to use thier imagination in their dramatic play. I use this book to initiate a space theme in my preschool classroom and its always a big hit- I highly recommend it... fly to space for a picnic supper and be back in time for bathtime.

This was my son's favorite book and now my grandson loves it
Took forever to get this book and when it came it is teeny-tiny...a pocket-sized book which is not what I wanted at all. Now I have to see if I can order the larger version. This was my son's favorite book and now my grandson loves it, too. But I really want a full-sized version.

Really nice book.. my 3 yr old and 1.5 yr old both enjoy it. Both storyline and pictures are engaging. Encourages imagination while also driving important concepts like sleeping at bedtime, sharing/playing together and cleanliness
