my hearing is almost perfect again! I feel like I have my quality ...
This product is an absolute miracle! I'm literally crying right now, because for the first time in two weeks, my hearing is almost perfect again! I feel like I have my quality of life back! After a bad bout of flu, I suffered with a bad case of a middle ear infection and my right ear was completely clogged! I has never happened to me before, and as you imagine I was absolutely devastated. I'm a musician too and I need both my ears more than anything and felt completely lost without my hearing and was so heartbroken that I couldn't play my instrument! Before I felt so lost, because everyone was happily getting on with their lives and I was stuck at home trying everything I could to hear normally again. I tried everything I could to unplug it, but it wouldn't. I went to so many doctors, but they kept dismissing me, telling me that it would take time to get back to normal, and that I would need to wait. I was so desperate I even went to a private ear suction clinic and paid £60 for ear wax suction only to discover that it wasn’t ear wax that was the problem, it was middle-ear fluid blocking my estuation tubes. On my 3rd visit to the doctor, they prescribed me anti-biotics and I took the course but still no improvement. I tried Sudafed, herbal teas, anti-histamines, nasal sprays, and after daily bouts of crying and hopelessness, I was frantically searching for a solution. I found this and read the reviews, but was quite apprehensive to buy it, as it was so expensive. Let me tell you - it's worth the money! Although my hearing isn't 100% perfect, it's at least 70% back!!!! I actually heard my right ear pop as I used it and felt the fluid draining out of my ear!! And I’ve only used it once so far! As you can imagine I was absolutely thrilled! I put my headphones in and I can hear every beat and word of the music as clear as crystal! I went outside and I could hear the traffic!!! I haven't been this happy in so long!!! Thank you so much! You’ve given me my quality of life back!!

Pricey But Effective
What can I say about this device? It is very expensive for what it is, but it did perform as promised. First a bit of background: I perforated my left eardrum during a runaway ascent while scuba diving. The ear got horribly infected, eventually healed, but left me with screaming tinnitus, very little hearing over 2khz and an inner ear that felt like it had socks stuffed in it. My eustachian tube was completely blocked and my ear was full of goo. After about 12 months my GP was beginning to consider grommets for my eardrum, which I really wanted to avoid, so I took the plunge and bought this unit (Ear Popper) and another piece of kit called the Ear Doc (also from Amazon). The Ear Popper is very expensive when you consider it's only a simple battery operated air pump but, thankfully, it does appear to be well built, should last for some time and eventually did the trick. Also, the unit was delivered (very quickly) with 4 AAA Duracel ProCell batteries, which was some small compensation for the very high price. To operate, basically, you shove the nozzle up your nose, start the unit and swallow. The act of swallowing diverts the air pressure, opens up your eustachian tube and allows the pressure in your ear to equalize. That's the theory. However, it did take me about a month of using the device several times a day to get my ear to open up. When it did, the relief was enormous. I still need to use the device several times a day as my ear is still shedding gunk and goo (the rancid, foul taste in the back of my throat is testimony to that) but my tinnitus has moderated and I seem to have had a mild recovery in terms of hearing. My hearing is still not great, but it does seem to have improved. I guess my next appointment with my audiologist will tell if I'm simply imagining this. I've knocked one star off because of the price, but the unit did work well on my blocked eustatchian tube, so I guess I'm happy with my purchase. Besides, I've avoided the need for surgery and an ear grommet, so perhaps it was really a bargain after all.

Best 100 pound I’ve ever spent
Firstly can I say I have never ever left a review on amazon however I felt I simply had to for this product. I was very sceptical about buying this device however I am amazed at what it has done in the space of a few hours. Can I say I was also sceptical about the reviews as there was so many that were similar and as I am relatively new to amazon I didn’t know if these may have been false reviews to help the product sell. It now makes sense as I have written pretty much the same. My story - 8 weeks ago I was doing some wim hoff breathing exercises which involved holding your breath. I had held it for over two minutes and when I released my breath I got this whooshing and ringing in my ears. This subsided after around 2 minutes and i was left with full muffled hearing and awful pressure in my head. I have had the same symptoms now for nearly 8 weeks. I have done hundreds of hours of research and could now probably pass a medical exam with the amount of things I know about the ears. I have had 0 relief and it has been a horrendous 8 weeks. It’s been during lockdown and I have been severely depressed and sometimes with a ringing noise in my ears. I have called the doctors 3 times however they said they couldn’t see me due to coronavirus. I have tried steam breathing, nasal sprays, antihistamines, decongestants, all the tips of holding your nose etc. Nothing was working and I was wondering if this may be permanent. To cut a long story short I came across this device 2 days ago. After hours or reading the reviews and doing research I decided It was worth the risk. It arrived this morning and I was very apprehensive to use it was I didn’t even know what the issue was and was scared I could do more damage, especially as it says not to use with a perforated eardrum which I hadn’t completely ruled out. I half heartedly tried it for the first time and not a great deal happened. Then around about 2 hours ago my ears suddenly popped. It was a feeling of relief and as if somebody instantly turned the volume up. One thing which I really suffered with was driving so after half an hour of elation I decided to go for a drive. Thankfully I didn’t seem to get any pain. I can still feel a little pain in my ears and aware I may still need to use the device for a few weeks to get the full effect. If anybody is suffering specifically from pressure related injury’s, either from planes, diving I’d Definitely recommend giving this a try. If you had symptoms like me 100 is nothing. It angers me that there isn’t more information about this device out there for people with eustachion disorders. I did read bits abo doctors blowing air into the ears or so I thought at the time which I now realise is the same device. Let’s hope my ears continue to get better and hope everyone else has some relief.

A good product - patience may be required
I’ve had eustachian tube issues since I was a boy. I’ve avoided air travel, because on the one occasion I’ve flown (an employer’s business trip, so I had little choice) I went through a great deal of pain, especially on the decent and by the time I disembarked I could hear my voice reverberating around my skull for several hours, the type of effect you get when your ears are totally blocked during a bad cold or flu. It took until the morning for everything to return to normal. In addition, I had a blocked eustachian tube a few years ago (following flu) which lasted for over 3 months and I became sick and tired of doctors telling me to give it time, only after I was in agony one night and honestly thought my ear drum would burst did I make a GP appointment and absolutely insist I was given some kind of medication. That visit saw me provided with a steroid nasal spray which literally overnight, cured the problem. Four weeks ago I developed a cold which lead to bronchitis and eventually affected the eustachian tube in my left ear, the effect was a replication of what happened several years ago, except this time I was determined it would not carry on for 3 months. I tried two or three steroid sprays but they were useless this time around. I then looked for something different and came across the ear popper, expensive yes, but when you’re desperate, most people with buy things they may otherwise shy away from and I’m no different in that respect. I was a little frightened if truth was told to use it when it first arrived as I’d never heard of it and I don’t like messing around with ears. But 24 hours later I thought, “this is stupid, I’ve paid a hundred quid for this baby, I can’t just leave it in the box” so I bit the bullet and used it, tentatively at first, pulling it away from my nose probably quicker than I should, but eventually used it properly. I wasn’t expecting miracles with this. Although the use of a steroid spray worked once, that was after 3 months and I presume the viral infection which caused the blockage was nearing the end of its life, this new infection however was quite recent, so I was prepared for continued use over a period of time. It seemed to me that my issue wasn’t merely liquid behind the drum, although I was aware there was definitely some. My symptoms appeared to mimic glue ear where the liquid can’t empty because the eustachian area is clogged up with mucous and other debris, so that even when the tube is opened, it more or less seals itself again preventing efficient drainage. I believed for that reason I would need to use the popper multiple times in my attempts to clear the blockage. This I did, for nearly a week, but there wasn’t a huge improvement, a little yes, but nothing significant. Occasionally it appeared as if it was getting worse, but I persevered using the device at least twice a day, sometimes 6 or 7 and on the eighth day I noticed a change for the better. It’s still not 10O% after 9 days, but I’d say it’s 75% better than it was and I’ll continue with its use, as punching my nostrils and swallowing or pinching and blowing is for me, useless. This product never fails to open the tube (if used correctly) and it’s the actual opening which is giving my ear the chance to clear and drain. If it works first time for you, brilliant, it undoubtedly will with some people who have an easier to remove blockage, but if you’re like me and you know you have just finished having a bad cold or flu then you ‘may’ need to be patient and be prepared for continued use for up to a fortnight or even beyond, because what is causing the blockage may be harder to remove. So don’t give up and persevere if you fall into my category, if all else fails you can always ask to see your GP, or perhaps buy an over the counter steroid nasal spray which may actually work at this juncture. This is a good product, expensive yes, but worth a try. Hope this helps

Save your money and see a doctor.
Short version: Based on my experiences, this product is drastically overpriced and possibly causes some unpleasant and unpredictable side-effects. If, like me, your condition has pushed you to a point of desperation where you will give anything a try, no matter what the cost – do yourself a favour, save your money and go back to your GP and ask for a referral to ENT if necessary. Longer version: I had a pretty nasty sinus infection which was successfully treated by my GP with antibiotics but left me deaf in my right ear. There was no Otorrhea and I wasn't able to equalise ear pressure, so I felt that my eustachian tubes must be partially blocked and thus a candidate for the Ear Popper. I watched the videos and read the documentation and took the (heinously expensive) plunge, hoping for a dramatic 'fix' for my problem ear. When it arrived, the ear popper was a small, cheap-feeling plastic device, utterly bereft of bells and whistles with an unpleasant smell and tricky operating method. None of this would have been a problem if it had worked of course... Alarm bells started to ring as soon as I read through the product guide. Lots of seemingly appropriate conditions appeared to rule out using the device at all and it also suggested that you shouldn't expect to see results for some weeks of constant use. This hardly represented the miracle cure described by others and because the device offers no actual feedback and you can only use your own judgement to review success, I was sceptical. I watched some more videos on correct operation, double-checked that I should even use the device at this point and went ahead with the first utterly underwhelming treatment. My ear did not clear. Of course it didn't. Later in the day, I did the second round of treatment as described in the manual with equally unsuccessful results. I thought, well, maybe I need to keep going for a bit longer and I was just being impatient. That night I was woken by huge amounts of pressure pain in that ear. I was hopping around the house, crying out in agony at the pain arriving in waves and I felt my ear drum was going to explode. In fact, I was willing it to. This continued day and night for the next week or so and because the Ear Popper had made no tangible difference whatsoever, I stopped using it. Stopping using the Ear Popper made the pain subside. I saw an Audiologist who had never heard of it and didn't think it was a good idea to use it until the underlying cause of my deafness was resolved. I showed my Ear Popper to my GP who said he'd never seen one before and wouldn't recommend it. I was referred to ENT at the hospital and the consultant there laughed when I showed it to him. He said it wouldn't do any more than holding your nose and blowing and they don't recommend doing that anyway because it can do more harm than good. In the end ENT diagnosed my problem as a polyp which had filled my ear canal and caused some complications which, thankfully, they were able to treat. The Ear Popper did nothing to resolve any of my symptoms (how could it) and I believe introduced some new unpleasant ones of its own by forcing air into a space from which it could not escape. Were this device to be prescribed following consultation, it would reach the right people and be successful - as successful as holding your nose and blowing at least. The problem is, because it's on open sale, I think there's a real risk that desperate people, such as myself, are mis-diagnosing themselves and investing their hope and a pretty sizeable amount of money on an inappropriate solution. I wish I'd not bought this and I would encourage others not to buy it. See your doctor, show them the link and ask their advice - I'm sure they'd suggest something far less expensive and far more effective.

Hasn’t worked
Lot of money for something that just blows air up your nose. Works well enough and is simple to do but has not cleared my blocked ear

There is hope
I don't often write reviews, but this time I can't help myself, I want to share my experience with all those despairing parents and their frustrated children. Our story in a nutshell: my son had 3 sets of grommets between the age of 4 and 8 to treat glue ear, every time the operation was a great success and he regained his hearing, but as the grommets fell out the glue ear returned. As a result of all these ops, his eardrum has scarred and lost its flexibility and the last sets of grommets took 3 years to be pushed out. My son is now 11 and we were hoping that his Eustachian tubes have opened up and the glue ear wouldn't return, but after the first mild cold this autumn, once again his ears filled up with fluid and within a couple of weeks he was practically deaf. I took him to the GP who examined him with the tuning fork and told us that my poor boy can hear better through the bone behind his ear then via the ear canal. He referred us to ENT urgently and we received an urgent appointment in 6 months, on the 5th April 2020. We have gone through our private health insurance before but they no longer help as his problem is chronic and the last time they even removed his adenoids. We have tried everything, heating his ears, blowing balloons, tons of vitamins, but nothing worked, out of desperation I started searching online for some advice and I found this ear popper device. I read the positive reviews and bought it. And this is when our story brightens up, my son started using the device which is very simple, painless, even fun and within days we noticed a significant difference. My son's hearing was quickly returning, his sad little face started lighting up, he was telling me that the strange watery sounds were gone and within 2-3 weeks he was back to normal. I still can't believe what happened to us, I cancelled our expensive private ENT appointment as I know their solution would be further grommets. I know there are children with much more serious problems, but I'm sure those parents whose children suffer from glue ear will understand me when I say that there's nothing is more upsetting then seeing your child almost deaf, frustrated, tired, his teachers to think that he's not paying attention and for a parent to know that having glue in the middle ear can cause long term hearing loss, these children might grow up with speech impairments and behaviour problems. I cannot thank enough to the inventor, the manufacturer and the distributor of this product for giving our life back. I even used the device on my other son who doesn't have glue ear, but having recovered from his cold he had blocked ears, he only needed to use the ear popper a couple of times to fully regain his hearing. Thank you once again for the relief and for a very happy boy who doesn't have to have more operations, who doesn't have to worry about water going through the grommets and causing an ear infection, who wakes up and goes to bed every day with a big smile on his face, I would highly recommend this miracle product. Many thanks, An extremely happy customer

Worth a try
I feel it is important to write of my experience with this ear popper. I have been suffering with Tinnitus for many years and over those years I have become quite used to it being part of my life albeit at times it has been a very difficult distraction when I have felt like jumping out of a window, but over the last 8 months or so I have been in awful ear pain too, which because I suffer with Menniere's desease I experience anyway from time to time, but this pain would not stop. In the mean time we have had lock down and in a short reprieve of that we moved house. I had to visit the dentist because the pain appeared to be affecting my teeth but there was nothing wrong there, so my first visits to our new gp was very helpful although after 3 lots of anti biotics I was still in this pain, I saw the ear popper after looking through on line advice and it appeared to cover all the problems I was going through. Immediately after the first use I knew it had done something, so the following day I spent every spare moment using it, this was totally wrong as I went back to before I had tried it. I now use it twice a day, and at times I'm getting relief from the infernal noise so yes it works although not all day every day, the pain relief has kicked in too as I discussed it with the nhs physio and he gave me additional excercises to the ones I already did because I have widespread arthritis. Am I glad I bought it, yes I am and it is certainly a good buy although I think it is rather expensive, but what price hearing relief.
