Learning w/Nana
I bought this for my grandkids. We are loving playing with these 3 D shapes, sorting, counting, and matching colors.

Good for teaching math concepts
The shapes are kind of small, but my kids have had a lot of fun with them, and we've used them for math. A couple of the shapes had sides that popped off but we've still been able to use them. The cards that come with the set have some nice activities.

Great for Tactile Preschoolers
I love this kit. I am using it for two at-home preschoolers, and there are enough pieces to keep both of them occupied. I do wish that they'd included enough spinner arrows to use all at once instead of having to move them between items. I think this is a good value for money, and I would buy this again.

Nice but could be better quality
Nice set, but it would be much better if directions were included for the various games and activities it encompasses. A higher quality set would also have had different decks of cards for each game rather than printing things on both sides of the cards. Will still get a lot of use out of it; just a think it could have been better made.

Shapes, shapes, and more shapes!
OMG, this set is amazing! The tiny plastic shapes are so colorful and cute that there's no way this kind of hands-on manipulative isn't keeping students 100% engaged! Everything is very sturdy and well-built. The transparent colored plastic is also great for exploring on a light board. The cards are all laminated so kids can repeatedly write on them with dry-erase markers. I love that everything easily fits into the plastic tub it comes in (with some kits, it barely fits back in after you open it). The best part is that each piece opens up so kids can explore volume, too, with kinetic sand, water, or even colored water so they can explore secondary and tertiary colors. You have to use something sharp to open them; my fingernail wasn't working at all so I had to use a small sharp knife. The round ones (sphere, cylinder, cone, and semi-sphere) were the hardest to open as the knife kept slipping off the round surface, while the flat-sided ones popped open easily with the knife. The triangular pyramid was also difficult just because it's so tiny. Needless to say, younger students will not be getting these open independently, so an activity in which you need the shapes to be open is better suited for older students, or serve them up without the lids. The cards are also full of great activities, although there are no directions on how to play. I'm an experienced educator so I have no problem figuring them out, but a new teacher or a mom wanting to do educational games at home might find it challenging to know what to do with them. There are 4 different bingo cards so you can play with 4 kids at a time. I appreciate the completeness of this kit for up to 10 students at a time and the variety of activities/real-world examples to help kids learn about 3-D shapes vs 2-D shapes. My one complaint is that it only comes with 2 spinners (a big 1 for the circle spinner and a little 1 for the corner of the cards that need a spinner for that game). It's too much of a pain to switch it out every time, so I'll be looking for another set of spinners on Amazon. Not a deal breaker by any means. With such solid little structures, this will be getting a lot of use from 4K all the way up to 8th grade! I HIGHLY recommend it!
