HP Chromebook 14” – A Solid and Affordable Choice
The HP Chromebook 14” is a great option for those looking for a budget-friendly laptop with reliable performance. It’s lightweight and sleek, making it easy to carry around, whether for school, work, or casual browsing. The 14-inch display is bright and clear, offering a good viewing experience for streaming and daily tasks. Performance-wise, it handles web browsing, document editing, and video streaming smoothly, thanks to Chrome OS’s efficiency. The battery life is impressive, lasting a full day on a single charge. However, since it relies on cloud storage and web-based apps, it may not be ideal for heavy software users. Overall, it’s a great pick for students or anyone needing a simple, fast, and affordable laptop for everyday tasks.

Amazing Little Laptop!
I bought this when my Windows laptop died and I'm so glad I did. This is perfect for me for what I need it for and the price was ideal, as Windows laptops are so expensive now. I check social media and watch YouTube videos and it works perfect for that. It's so easy to set up and lovely and lightweight and these guys are pretty resistant to viruses. Any apps you need you get them from the Play Store. However just be vigilant on what you download from there. It boots up in under 5 seconds and any updates are done automatically and quietly in the background, so no long updates that slow you down and take forever like Windows does. I love this little Chromebook and I doubt I would buy another Windows laptop again.

Fab laptop
Great laptop, easy to use, lightweight to carry around if needed, good speed, connects easily to any internet, my daughter uses it for her college work so has many tabs open at once & it doesn’t slow down. Would recommend

For £160 it's all the Chromebook I need.
A lightweight and I guess, entry level chromebook, with an acceptable screen and not the worst keyboard and trackpad I've ever used. Perfectly reasonable specs for the intended use case. Limited built in I/O I suppose, but that's not a dealbreaker. At 160 notes it's a banging little laptop and is my new daily driver. Update; Think we're a few months down the line now and it's still a wee cracker! What's it like?; The screen is fine, the keyboard is fine, the trackpad is fine, the speakers are fine, the limited I/O isn't an issue for portable use and you can whack a hub on if you want anyway. The battery is decent. Even with only 4GB of RAM, ChromeOS positively zips along on the Intel N100 just don't push it too hard or ask it to do too much at once and you shouldn't be disappointed. Overall; Honestly my expectations weren't high at £160 but for a daily use, web based app and streaming device it has surpassed whatever expectations I had and cemented itself as my go to grab and use device. Hook it up to a fast internet connection for best results. It even does a good job on XBox cloud gaming.

Solid, good value, fast and very easy to set up.
Bought for a family member who was still using a laptop with windows 7........ Picked it largely for the special offer however wanted a cheap and chearful "device" that was easy to use, easy to set up and least likely to result in me getting phone calls to help. Excellent screen quality, could be brighter and sound a bit louder but for him its perfect. Besides the price: It feels good and solid, Its some sort of metal alloy so cool to the touch and feels robust. I also wanted to go ChromeBook as he had been duped into paying crazy money ON SUBSCRIPTION for anti virus for his current windows 7 brick... I mean laptop!

Nice Chromebook
I bought this to replace a MacBook which died on me after 8 yrs service☹️In the interim I had also had a laptop which died after a much shorter time😣 so I thought I would try a Chromebook🤞. So far I am very pleased with this, nice size, fantastic price , 1/5 🤩of what I was expecting if I had replaced it with a MacBook, so simple to set up and start using, I was genuinely shocked after an initial charge, I was up and running within 10 minutes🙂, a couple of software updates later, it’s all running superbly. Keyboard is a nice and suits my typing style👇👇👇. My use is mainly for word processing documents and work stuff - no CAD stuff and no games so I can’t comment on how it would perform with that. Screen is big enough for my failing eyesight 🤣. All in all I am delighted so far and actually prefer it to its predecessors.👍

I purchased 2 which won Chromebook or Windows
I purchased 2 laptops a HP Chromebook and a Lenova Windows 11, why because the kids school uses Chrome as a teaching aid, but we also aired on the side of caution hence the Windows as well, great things credit cards aren't they.. The system down loads on the chrome didn't match up to that of Windows and after a few days we switched over to the Windows and then learnt from the kids that it was not for them and so Windows won. I would say however the laptop its self quality and design great, the programs not so, but you could say i was bias towards Windows and the answer would be yes, but for the kids it was an option, which they chose, sorry chrome not for this house hold... Oh and yes I got a full refund, thanks....
