Another great album
Another great Album from Godsmack. It's a little different from their earlier music with some more blues-insipired tracks. However, don't worry, it's still obviously Godsmack. I just wish they'd do a gig near me!

keep on going
godsmack always felt to me like they were always living in the shadow of alice in chains and up to this point had done very little to escape it. acknowledged the previous albums were erratically brilliant and in faceless they wrote the best album metallica never got around to making but again they still seemed to be struggling to be themselves......but here they have done that and more. yet again they have tweeked their sound slightly and evolved a little more into a fully fledged heavy rock band the guitars are lower in the mix but the licks are still killer and sully puts in a fantastic performance its still pretty damned heavy but there is more groove to this work than previously and it softens the blow of the guitars and as usual the melodies flow beautifully and every song has a hook to die for ok so it isn't as immediate as the previous albums but it does feel ultimately more rewarding with repeated spins overall > very very good album from a band that look sadly like they will never break it over here

Voodoo Too est vraiment un morceau fabuleux, une sorte de Métal / Blues rarement entendu avec un chanteurs et des musiciens a sommet. Le reste est vraiment plus complet que l'album FACELESS. Du bon Métal!

I heard the song I Stand Alone when The Scorpion King came out a few years ago and I thought, wow, I like their sound. So I bought the album Faceless. Scince then I have been on this steady journey into the evolving sound of The best band I've ever had the honor of listening to..I'll admit, at first I just loved the way they made my stereo sound, they just burst out of the speakers. But as time has passed and I've gotten into the lyrics and the complexity of their music I have grown to understand the anguish and sincerity that Sully has put to this awesome bands tune. In my humble, but honest opinion I think this is their best album. I know that some of the younger head bangers will be disappointed that it's not start to finish a metal mayhem as some of the other albums like Oracle, Or Voodoo but that's just my point; this album shows the wide range of their talents! The guitarist Tony Rombola is one of the most underated guitarist ever. I grew up in a time of the thirty minute guitar solos, and at first I was like, where is the screaming lead that should be in there. But them I had an epaphany; Tony is not worried about that and is crucial to the sound that I have grown to appreciate. With Robbie Merraill, And Shannon Larkin, They are one. And once this is understood you begin to see, Oh, I'm sure he could sit and just eat it alive for a whole album, but that is not a concern to him.....That Sound....That thunder that is Godsmack is what is priority. when I first heard the song Shine Down, and Hollow, I honestly broke out in Goose Bumps!! Sully Ernas Lyrics have evolved on this Album; From anger and fury to a maturing understanding of lifes ins and outs. And Shannon, Robbie, and Tony keep that driving roar going. This sounds so trite and shallow, but THESE GUYS ROCK! They ARE the deffinition of AWESOME!

És un disco de los de mediana carrera que suena bien, no és de los mejores, pero se puede tener en la discografía.
