CAHAYA Tripod Boom Sheet Microphone Stand CY0311

I got it from amazon as a return and with a 5-cent O-ring fixed it up fine, well-made I had a bit of a time getting it back together but very happy with the look and adjustability.

For the price works fine

Feels like I got an open box. The box itself was pretty bashed up but the box came in a thin little bag so maybe it got crushed in shipping. Unfortunately in addition to the box being bashed looking, while all individual elements of the mic stand were in bubble wrap, The first pole was dented a bit at the connection point (picture included) so I couldn’t screw the two pieces together. I used pliers to bend it back, thank goodness that works. Aside from those initial unfortunate events, the mic stand is extremely sturdy, I’m shocked at how sturdy it is for how little the legs are And that it uses that circular tightening mechanism rather than a a little arm to give you more leverage and torque like my older mic stand. Everything about this feels much more sturdy and more professional than my previous mic stand. I am using the clip attachment for the microphone, it is gripping and NTG-2 fine. I wouldn’t be upset if it was a little more tight but it’s holding on, I am not worried about the mic falling. And it comes with a travel bag! Nifty! (The mic stand has to be broken down into its separate attachable poles to fit which means extra work when packing and setting up each time but that’s all right. Especially for under $40.

It's stronger than the more less expensive stands I've tried. The tubing isn't quite as strong as the more expensive units and the legs don't spread out as far as other stands. If used for mics only and not for monitors or tablets, etc., you won't have a problem with this unit. This stand is easier to store away in travel cases because of the shorter legs and overall weight of the unit. It's not a bad unit for the price. UPDATE 3-27-23: We ordered two units. unpacked one and things were good. Used that opened one in our studio and put the other one with our travel gear. Got on location and tried to put our 2nd unit together. 2 pieces were missing. That makes us reconsider the above rating. we started the process of getting the right parts today. Response time is key customer service issue. Let's see if we have all parts before we go on the road this coming weekend... UPDATE 3-31-23 Parts arrived today. Quick response! Customer service is good! I would purchase this unit again for sure!

Très satisfait. Juste un peu long à monter er démonter.. mais je le trimballe beaucoup, et il n'est pas forcément fait pour ça. La fixation de la longue tige sur le mât vertical manque de puissance de serrage, et il faut vraiment serrer fort (pas facile car la poignee-vis est petite) sinon lorsqu'il est déployé avec un micro au bout, ça redescend tout seul au fil des minutes avec le risque de faire détacher le micro.. c est arrivé une fois, mais pas de casse. Voir sur la durée..
