Why does it have a 2.5gbe wan port if the lan port is only 1gbe? what is the common use case for the extra speed if it's not available on the lan?

Also you. A push 1gb through the lan and have 1.5gb left for the wireless. Also I use this as a file server and change the wan to lan. I can use the full 2.5gb on my 2.5gb wired network for transferring files.
