Unless you have an old dish, if it’s a sky Q one (so a few years old now) it will not work. **Q: Tried to use the box and message comes up with scr off. should the setting be changed as there a number frequency settings?** A: Hi. Use of SCR is not that common. It is sometimes used in buildings with multiple flats so that multiple receivers can be connected to the same cable. During tuning, when the SX cannot find a normal satellite signal for Freesat, it will show the 'Configure SCR' option at the bottom of the screen. You would need to consult the satellite installer for your building to find out the correct settings to configure it. **Q: Can this be used in Germany ?** A: I bought one and have just used it in Spain. Worked perfectly except for the hd channels, but that might be our old tv. **Q: Do you need to buy a viewing card? I have read that a viewing card is needed to access all the channels.** A: you do not need to buy anything extra, all you need is included in the box. The remote control is very flimsy . In the very short time I've had it the buttons on it are not working I found it difficult to connect WiFi but product support told me that WiFi connection is not required as the only use for WiFi was for software updates but updates are received over satellite link. Of the hundreds of channels you will receive you can mark some of them as favourites but to get to them requires a couple of menu selections.
