I had read up on reviews and couldn't really decide on which and came across this stuff called fireworks. I use it primarily for glass. I have been using bullseye but was finding that at high temperatures wash was sticking and in some creases wash was sticking. Looking at all the products for primer/wash it seems most are made of Alumina and kaolin so I was think of purchasing ingredients and making my own. sometimes experimenting is helf the fun. Well anyway I choose this product instead. Good price at under 20 and free shipping. Made by Diamondtechglass.com and this product does contain silica which is very good substitute for Kaolin or Alumina not sure on the ratio or other ingredients.How did it work. Using a Hake a brush I find it very easy to spread and only need a few coats on ceramic. On Metal it is a little finicky and the bullseye stuck better but it works. I never used primo but lots of reviews indicate it has to be shaken a lot during application or it settles out of the water. Well this product settles out more than bullseye did but again works just fine for me. I have used this three times since its purchase and it worked great on the shelf and in molds like kiln casting. this primer I find very easy to smooth with my fingers if any bumps occur during preparing and the best feature is that it very easily brushes off the glass if it does stick a little with my finger. no sand basting , no soaking in vinegar. This product does not have a color in it so it can be hard to tell if you re-prime over existing primer. But I also found that I can re-fire on this primer with out any issues. In short it works well for me at a high temp full fuse which is important to me.
