Works Well Using A Type-c to Type-c USB Cable
It does block the transmission of data, but also degrades the charging power passing through it. This is a product that is not worth investing in. This is an update to my previous writeup following the response from the seller: This data blocker does allow fast charging of mobile phones provided a USB type-c to type-a cable in not used. I have upgraded the review to a 5-star as I was able to fast charge my phone using a type-c to type-c USB cable as instructed by the seller.

Works as advertised, a good buy.
Bought so that I could charge my phone from my work computer without it connecting over a data connection, so that it wouldnโt 1. trigger a security warning for connecting the phone and 2. put my work laptop at risk of malware if my phone got compromised. Iโve since also used the adapter to power my client laptop through the new work monitorโs without fear of it trying to connect to my work LAN when an Ethernet cable has been plugged into the monitor. In both scenarios the adapter has worked perfectly. Has been used for a good time now and shows no sign of wear. I would recommend this product.

Worth buying & using even in the UK .
Although tiny they come in a useful firm plastic resealable bag they may well be worth 100 times it's weight in gold because none of your important files photos & special information can be taken silently by unseen thieves who can & do wreck peoples lives.

Charging rate drops
Slow charging speed Using my USB meter - charging my mobile, using the same cable, and connecting immediately - one following the other, the charging rate dropped from 8.1 watts to 2.45 Watts. That is it increased the charging time by about 3.3 times. Say from 1 hour to 3 hours 18 minutes.

Great product!
Tested with cable tester and confirmed that it blocks out D+ and D- pins, only allows Gnd, vbus, and CC1/CC2 to pass through. Don't have any high speed transfer cables to test with though. All 24 pins on the male and female side of the data blockers are also present, so unless someone is willing to send a high-speed USB-C to USB-C cable my way, we will have to take the manufacturer's word for it. I also tested charging it up to 40W without any issues, although the data blocker did get slightly warm after 10mins. The metal enclosure helped in the heat dissipation. I guess the size is also made intentionally small so it can be kept together with any charging cable, but I personally would have preferred it to be bigger or have a loop I can attach a Keychain to so that I would misplace it easily.

Piece of mind
They work with no noticeable drop in charging speed. I always keep one of these attached to my chargers for my phone and laptop. I can charge in airports and other public places with no fear of data breaches. Definitely worth buying.

A valuable little must-have
It really works. Charging is fine, but no data can pass. Careful though - it's easy to lose. I keep mine on the charge/data cable - unless I'm transferring data.
