So I've seen these little gadgets for years now but never grasped the hype of them until I finally purchased one. Had a decent amount of boxes and gifts to wrap for Christmas this year so I told myself I was going to make it as pleasant as I could. Bought this tool and oh my gosh... I fell in love. I've always been one of the stubborn one's and always thought, "Yeah, a scissors works just fine." While that is true, this cutter actually does a better job than a pair of scissors when it comes to cutting wrapping paper. It helped me literally 'glide' right through the cutting part and the paper. The precision of the cut is spot on. The blades do a remarkable job and didn't dull even after wrapping lots of gifts. I love how easy it is to use and figure out. Came with instructions for use of the tool and on how to change the blade. Also included extra blades. Large enough to fit a jumbo roll of wrapping paper and it turned out to be a great value for the money. Very happy I now have my own wrapping paper cutter for the many more occasions I'll be needing to wrap gifts.

This thing is a must. I used it for Christmas this past year and it cut the wrapping paper so easily and made my wrapping process much faster. I will be using again next year. Great value for the money and fits multiple sized rolls.

I was reluctant to buy this based on the negative reviews. But, after reading the positive reviews, I considered that the negative reviews might have been based on user error since that's what most of them were about and the description of the issues seemed to indicate as much. Anyway, I'm glad I bought it. I have paper cutters that cut a clean cut very easily - just not straight. Finally, a tool that gives me an easy, STRAIGHT cut! It's not a perfect tool and does take some getting used to. Here is what I found to work: 1) Your wrapping paper roll is likely smaller than the "tube" part of the tool. While cutting, be sure to hold the left side snug to the wrapping paper roll rather than just centering the roll in the tube. 2) I think this is where a lot of negative reviewers went wrong - you MUST hold the paper taught with your left hand. Essentially, you are pulling the tool to your right and the paper to your left. If you have an extra person around, it might help to have them to hold the paper taught when cutting larger pieces.

Bought this because I cannot cut straight to save my life. It doesn't even matter that much, but seriously, this is a time saver and it looks good when you're done. Everyone that has seen me use it asks about it and wants to get one because it makes wrapping so much easier. I didn't want to spend the money on this but it was one of those things that I'm glad I did just for the efficiency alone during Christmas time. The blade fits well and seems sharp. It is really easy to cut in a straight line and cuts different types of wrapping paper just fine. Highly recommend.

Very easy to use

I bought this for my partner because she enjoys wrapping presents. I couldn't believe how well it worked when I first tried it. The blade is super sharp and it just slides through the wrapping paper. It gives a much cleaner cut than any scissors I own. Only downside is that it is a bit bulky but it just gets stowed away with the other wrapping stuff. If you are struggling with cutting wrapping paper (or kraft paper, maybe too?), get this!

I found it a little hard to use. Takes some time to get used to. Okay with price. Durability great.
