Didn't bother with the tape switch, installed the rocker instead and mounted on top of HD rifle and was on a pistol before that. Solid 800 lumens for a couple of minutes constant on. Fairly durable with no issues in normal use. Would buy another due to size and weight savings. Have the Protac HLX for tape switch use, but you add bulk to the system for range and more lumens/candella. Only issue I have had was closing the battery compartment. Bottom popped out when I was closing the lever and snapped the rocker portion. Didn't know about it until I picked the rifle up and the batteries came out. Worth applying a little pressure on the bottom, replacement part wasn't bad though and pin is easy to remove. Review: Great Product - Very nice light. Came with everything in the ad, also came with working batteries.
