IT DOES WHAT IT SAYS IS SAYS IT IS GOING TO DO , AND BECAUSE I FEEL THAT IT IS NEARLY LIKE A CUSTOM BRACE, AND IT HELPS THOSE WHO CAN NOT AFFORD A PROFESSIONALLY FITTED KNEE BRACE. OFF THE TOP: THIS IS A PROFESSIONAL VELCRO AND IS INCREDIBLY STRONG. IT WILL NOT COME OPEN OR LOOSEN OPEN WHILE YOU ARE WEARING IT. THIS TYPE OF VELCRO IS PROFESSIONAL GRADE. AND IT IS USED ON CUSTOM BRACES. IT WILL NOT COME UNDONE UNTIL YOU ARE PULLING ON IT FOR REMOVAL OF THE BRACE. IT WILL NOT QUIT OR LOOSEN ON YOU AS YOU SEE IN CHEAPER BRACES. AS FAR AS FIT, ASIDE FROM THE VELVRO, THIS BRACE IS NOT VERY BULKY AS YOU WOULD FIND IN A CHEAPER BRACE. THE LACK OF BULKINESS IS IMPORTANT BECAUSE IT OFFERS YOU OPTION. YOU CAN WEAR It UNDER/OVER, DENIM JEANS, SWEATPANTS AND MORE. I hAVE WORN IT UNDER MY JEANS. +++THE DESIGN IS MADE TO HELP WITH A VARIETY OF DIAGNOSES***. IT IS VERY COMFORTABLE WHILE I USE IT. AT THE SAME TIME, IT SUPPORTS YOUR KNEE. THE TWO SIDE UPRIGHTS PROTECTS (the uprites are sides of the knee metal pieces) THERE ARE LIGAMENTS ON EITHER SIDE OF YOUR KNEE PROTECTING THOSE LIGAMENTS THERE ARE OTHERS LIKE THE ACL for instance (ANTERIOR CRUCIATE LIGAMENT) THIS BRACE IS MADE TO PROTECT KNEE LIGAMENTS AND THE KNEE AS A WHOLE. THE OPENING AT THE KNEE HELPS WITH PATELLAR TENDONITIS AND DOES NOT INTERFERE WITH THE NATURAL TRACKING OF THE KNEE CAP. WHEN YOU FLEX OR EXTEND, THE KNEE CAP DOES NOT MOVE UP AND DOWN IN A STRAIGHT LINE. RATHER, IT FOLLOWS AN “S” CURVE. THIS BRACE DOES NOT INTERFERE WITH PATELLAR TRACKING. THIS BRACE WILL HELP WITH PATELLAR TENDONITIS, BUT TO BE PERFECTLY TRANSLUCENT, WITH YOU IF YOU HAVE TENDONITIS, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS BRACE…. THERE IS A VERY SMALL BRACE MADE FOR PATELLAR TENDONITIS YOU PLACE ON THE TENDON AND VELCRO IT CLOSED. THIS BRACE WILL DIMINISH YOUR PAIN BECAUSE IT Is DESIGNED TO AFFECT ALL THE LIGAMENTS AND THE KNEE AS WHOLE. . IT DIMINISHES PAIN FOR A VARIETY REASONS. CAN BE ALSO BE USED FOR ACL, PCL, AND MENISCUS PROBLEMS/TEARS. THAT COVERS A LOT. THE DESIGN IS MEANT TO SUPPORT YOU WHEN YOU AMBULATE, AND THE METAL UPRIGHTS DONT INTERFERE WITH THAT. STRUCTURALLY, THIS BRACE IS EXCELLENT. IT CAN BE WORN EVEN WHEN SITTING IN A CHAIR OR WHEELCHAIR. I WOULD RECOMMEND CONSULTING YOUR MD OR PT. THE BEST PART IS THAT THE PRICE IS EXTREMELY REASONABLE FOR THE BRACE AND SUPPORT IT GIVES ALLOWING YOU TO HEAL. MANY INSURANCES DO NOT COVER/OR ONLY PARTIALLY COVERS THE COST OF A CUSTOM MADE BRACE. THIS BRACE IS ESSENTIAL IF YOU CANNOT AFFORD A CUSTOM MADE BRACE (THEY ARE QUITE PRICEY) THIS IS WHY I AM GRATEFUL FOR NEEDING THIS BRACE OTHERWISE I WOULD NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS BRACE THAT I PRAY CAN HELP SOME PEOPLE/PATIENTS OUT MONEY WISE. AS FOR ME, MY AMBULATION HAS IMPROVED CONSIDERABLY. IT IS ALL DUE TO THIS BRACE. I ORDERED 5 OF THESE FOR PATIENTS WHO CANT GET A CUSTOM BRACE AND DONT USE THE INTERNET. I WENT INTO THE MEDICAL FIELD TO HELP OTHERS. JUST TO NOTE, I TRIED THREE OTHER BRACES BEFORE I FOUND THIS ONE. OTHER ONES WERE HORRIBLE, THEY WERE ILL FITTED, AND DID NOT DO WHAT THEY SHOULD DO ACCORDING TO THE DESCRIPTIONS. THEN I FOUND THIS. I VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT, AND I WILL RECOMMEND IT TO THE APPROPRIATE PATIENTS, AND FOR THOSE WHO’S INSURANCE WILL NOT COVER A CUSTOM BRACE THAT THEY CANNOT AFFORD. I TRULY FEEL THIS IS AS CLOSE TO A CUSTOM BRACE THAT YOU WILL FIND. THE DESIGN, THE SOLID CONSTRUCTIONS, THE PROFESSIONAL VELCRO, THE BRACE IS NOT BULKY, HELPS ALL ASPECTS OF THE KNEE, IS SUPER CHEAP COMPARED TO THE COST OF A CUSTOM BRACE. This knee brace is wonderful and has been a huge help. The material is incredibly soft and comfortable against the skin, even if you wear it for a long time. Important Tip: I highly recommend ordering one size bigger than you usually would, as they seem to run a bit small. Once you have the right size, the fit and support are perfect!

I have osteoarthritis and past surgery in high school for torn ligaments, meniscus, patella AND more recently an ACL tear all on my right knee. I walk a lot, ride a bicycle distances of 20-100 miles, do gym cardio and weight work outs and dance 1-3 nights a week. My knee is slowly getting worse and limiting my activity and causing more support need. THIS brace is the heaviest, bulky (shows up as a brace under pants), more cumbersome and restrictive of all my store bought braces I own, but for support when my knee is at its worst-it is the only one that will allow me to dance/walk. Cycling, gym , cardio workouts (cycle, eliptical, row) I can still get by with lighter braces. This brace is very supportive and does its job but as mentioned is limiting and has some draw backs. BUT if I want to do the activity with my knee acting up-this is my go to. So I evaluate the status of my knee on whether any brace is needed that day/activity or which brace I need to wear and take the lowest level one to put on and take a higher end restrictive one with me as back up in case. So yes this is a good brace for what it does. Only other issue-I sweat a lot if dancing or walking a lot outside when hot-not so sure how good this will hand wash (get odor out) and keep hinges good over time but heck will buy another by that time if needed. So far due to cooler , less intense dancing, and infrequent physical support need- have not had to wash it. However I anticipate I will be wearing this brace more and more (until knee surgery becomes necessary). Good for what it does if needed at a higher level before getting a prescribed brace, etc. .

I've worn these for 5 days skiing. they stay in place, which was a problem with other brands. It was recommended that you size up 1 size which I did. I ware mine over long johns, they were snug but not tight. Very comfortable and flexible with the hinge system. They are a little bulky so if you ware something over them it will need extra room, usually not a problem with ski ware. My knees felt good after skiing, I think they help take pressure off the knee joint. I would definitely recommend these to friends.

I really like this knee brace! It is very comfortable to wear for a long period of time. The Velcro seems super durable and it is easy to customize the size to your specific fit for the right level of compression. I would only take away a point for the breathability of the overall brace. While it is fairly cool, it has been a harsh Winter, and I just cannot imagine wearing this in the summer for long stretches of time.

The brace seems very stable and would Work except it is VERY uncomfortable. I measured my leg several times to make certain. I got it right but when the brace arrived it was way too tight and I could barely get it on. It was really hot that day and when I tried to remove it, it stuck and was horrible getting it off. However, it seemed like it would be great if the size was correct so I ordered the next size up. It was easier to get on but still uncomfortable and I could not keep it on more than two hours. I would like it better if it opened fully and did not pull on so that it could be loosened A bit when needed. It seems very well made but I just can't wear it and went back to my old one. I tore my meniscus a drive couple of weeks ago but I have to work and I am on my feet a lot. I wanted something more stable and I think this would have been perfect if it was more adjustable. I have no issue with the price or the quality but the fit could be better and they may want to adjust their sizing chart.
