AWEFUL .......... This is not Biltong - Its meat stored in Cabbage Vinegar liquid - The meat is coloured Red and should not be called Biltong, SAD REALLY

Shoe leather is far more tender.
The pack states ‘once opened use within 24 hours’; however, I think you’d need much longer than 24 hours to chew through even a few of these. Horribly tough, also expensive for a tiny amount of. The taste is good, but once you’ve chewed for a while you’re left with a tiny gristle like piece which you have no option but to spit out. On top of all that, I discovered they are halal - I’d never have bought them if I’d have seen that on the pack while in the shop, because I don’t believe in cruelty to animals!

Please Note: This review is not directed to the seller, but rather to the manufacturer. THIS PRODUC IS VILE! As a South African that grew up eating Biltong all my life and have even made my own, I find that the fact this company is making a ton of money from this product and calling it "Biltong" is actually insulting!! They would not be able to get away with such a low grade quality product such as this. I don't event know what it is... It's more Jerky than Biltong. It's shiny, it's oily, its smells like.... Horrible! I would be shamed to serve it to my friends as snacks the way it is so bad! Jack Links - You should be ashamed!
