I was advised not to put down on the floor without a box because it says to wash your hands. Isn't that also true if you put them in a box?

Always wash your hands after touching them as they are poisonous. I personally used these without the box and put them behind drawers and in places where children and animals cannot get. I found them to be more effective and the mouse actually ate them when they were not in the box

I have either large brown mice, or brown rat in garden. If I use this in a tamper proof box, does it kill in the box, or do they die elsewhere?

They (rats or mice) generally go in and eat the bait and sometimes take some back to their nest... I have never found a dead animal either in or near the box . It doesn't work immediately so they seem to go as die somewhere else. Hope this helps .

Absolute pants this product. I don't why they've stopped the peanut based baits. The mouse avoid this pasta rubbish. They walk right around it. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS RUBBISH!
